A/N: Ok so I was reading another story and I wondered, "What would have happened if Elphaba hadn't moved out of the way of the carriage in time?" And this is the love-child of that question.

After defending herself, yet again, from some of the more lowly students of Shiz, they suddenly moved away. Elphaba sighed, Probably another joke, "Run! Run! She's going to get us!" She thought to herself. She heard suddenly the much too quick pace of hooves on the cobblestone path. She whipped her head around but before she could move, she was hit.

A bump suddenly shook Fiyero from his sleep. He heard screams of horror from the outside of his carriage. He quickly jumped out and saw something that ran his blood cold. Just behind his carriage he saw a girl, lying on the ground. Her hands were in a defensive position and her dark brown eyes were that of horror and disbelief. A pool of blood ran from her head and across her chest, where the hooves of his horses and the wheels of his carriage ran over her. He knelt down beside her and took her hand, trying to find even the faintest of pulses. Not one. He just killed an innocent girl. He noticed that the girl had an abnormal skin color, green. Though it was now much too pale as all the blood slowly drained of her body.

His driver came up next to him, saying he needed to move so that the coroner could clean her up. Fiyero stood and let the Security take him away.

The trial was long. In the end Fiyero was charged with involuntary manslaughter. Avaric was charged with manslaughter and speeding. Fiyero was given the right to see the girl's funeral, who he now learned name was Elphaba.

The funeral was short. Mostly because not many people were there. All there were was a Goat, a girl in a wheelchair, a very large woman who looked like a black fish, and a blonde. The Goat talked about how he loved Elphaba's intellect and her invigorating conversations. The girl in the wheelchair talked about how she wished she had talked more to her sister and hoped that she was happy with the Unnamed God, although this was a non-religious funeral. The large woman just said that she was sad that she was gone and sat down. Then the blonde went up. She said that she felt bad for being so cruel to Elphaba. That she had tried to talk to her instead of picking a fight. You could see a tear make its way down her face.

Fiyero hung his head in shame.

End. This may be one of the most morbid things I've ever written so please tell me your opinions.
