Hey, I'm bored and staying up till midnight takes a lot out of a girl. :-) Anyway, I wrote this for no reason, I was just thinking about Atton. I do not own these characters or the game, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords. Read, Review, and Enjoy.
I peaked around the corner of the hallway, trying to see her. Nobody else had even thought of bothering her. Mira told me I was crazy for even trying to talk to her. It had been 2 weeks, and she hadn't left the port-side dorm.
Hannah Baill, the Exile, sat up from the bunk she was sitting on. I could see her shadow against the wall across from the one I leaned against. I could see her hair flipped over her head and some sticking into the air. She let out a low sob, and muttered something about Kreia.
I took a step back, deciding not to bother her. I tripped over T3-M4, and the little pest scurried back the way he had come. "Stupid little trash-compacter." I muttered quietly as I started walked down the corridor.
"Who's out there?" I heard Hannah behind me, her voice cracked by sobs. "Please come back." She broke out into tears again, and I heard a Thump. "Stupid bunk." Hannah's voice was frustrated and I crept back to where I was standing before. Her shadow was now only her head, and I had to assume that she was sitting on the ground.
"Hannah?" I walked into the room slowly; her puffy red eyes popping up to met mine.
"Atton, what are you doing?" She watched me carefully as I stepped closer and slid down onto the ground next to her.
"I should be asking you why you are on the ground." I gave her a weak smile, and she returned it, but I quickly faded away.
"I'm not in the mood for this right now." She looked down at her hands.
"Well, if you ever are in the mood, I'm here." I put my arm around her shoulders. "And I'm here to stay."
"What are you talking about?" She scooted over a few feet so I couldn't reach her, but I followed. This continued until she was against the wall.
"I don't know what happened on Malachor IV, but it upset you, and you need to know that I'm here for you."
"Atton, I don't want to talk about it. Just leave me alone." She pushed at my arm and I stood, walking towards the door.
"Let me know if you need me. I think you still have the comlink." I winked before walking from the room.
Sitting in the pilot's car, I counted my pazaak cards. A few hours later, I heard the familiar ringing of the comlink I had in my pocket. Everyone on this ship had a comlink they could be calling me from, but all but 1 would come find me here if they needed me.
I walked back into the port dorm. Hannah still sat on the floor in the corner where she had been 2 or 3 hours ago. It looked like she hadn't moved an inch. The comlink rested on her lap.
"Atton." She called me towards her. I came and sat on the ground next to her. "Atton." She repeated my name again as she laid her head on my shoulder and started to cry again.
I tried to calm her down as she told me about killing Kreia. When she stopped talking, I held her in my arms until she stopped crying at looked up at me.
"You were right." She smiled, and continued to do so as she relaxed her head against me.
"Yep, I get that a lot."
