This was not a good idea. How did Killua let Gon convince him to go roller-skating? Of course, it was sort of his fault for being so cocky.
"Are you sure you know how to roller-skate? I mean, you never really got the chance to do kid things." Gon asked Killua. He didn't want him to fall and break something!
Killua rolled his yes. "Gon, I'm an assassin. If I can kill a man, I'm pretty sure I can roller-skate." In Killua's opinion, Gon was worrying way too much. He was pretty sure he could figure it out.
Killua was wrong. Here he was, gripping onto a wall for support, trying to prevent his legs from falling apart. He was sixteen, for crying out loud! Gon made it look so easy. Killua was concentrating so hard on not slipping that he barely heard Gon when the boy spoke. "Don't worry about it. If you fall, I'll catch you."
Killua propelled himself using the wall and let go, starting to slide forward. "So far so gOOD!" Killua reached out and clung to Gon. He'd nearly fallen, and now was desperately trying to right himself. Others stared as Killua began to mutter curses and swears under his breathe. Gon helped Killua stand again, and he immediately clung to the wall again. "Gon. I'm going to die. This is a horrible way to go."
Gon laughed. "You're not going to die, Killua. It's just roller-skating."
"Gon, I've fallen twice." Killua said, trying to move towards the exit and where his shoes were. He wasn't going to humiliate himself any further. He slipped again, and Gon caught him under the arms.
"I'll reward you later if you keep skating for just a while longer." Gon whispered, making Killua shudder in a way that had nothing to do with the superb air conditioning.
They ended up skating for another hour, and when they were done Killua was sore everywhere. His feet hurt from the heaviness of the skates, his arse hurt from falling so many times, his hands hurt from gripping at Gon and the wall, his back hurt from leaning over the wall when he crashed into it. But most of all, his pride was hurt. As soon as he and Gon got home, Killua collapsed onto the couch with a groan of frustration and pain.
"Oh, c'mon. It wasn't that bad." Gon claimed as he sat down in what little space was left on the couch, placing his hand on Killua's back and rubbing at the sore muscles there. Killua leaned up into the familiar touch.
"So what was that reward you promised me?" Killua asked, trying to focus through the haze of Gon's touch. It was proving rather difficult, as Gon's hand was slipping up Killua's shirt to rub at bare skin.
Gon gave a chortle. "How about I give you a little massage? You certainly look like you're in pain." Gon ran his fingers over Killua's spine, getting lower. "Of course, we could do something else as well."
