I raced through the dense brush, my pelt snagging on thorns, sharp stones slicing my tough paws. I managed to glance behind my shoulder, peering with urgency at the dark shapes that were pursuing me. The curls of smoke quickened their pace, inches from my raven colored tail. With a guttural snarl, I pushed myself harder, leaping over mossy branches and shrubs. Damn demons! I thought, my charcoal ears pinning back on my skull. My worn leather collar seemed to be too tight around my throat, and I swallowed with slight difficulty. I spotted a deserted highway ahead, and hoped that there was a town nearby. Perhaps the two people I've been searching for would be there. Galloping forward, I exploded from the tightly knit forest and onto the highway. Light spilled over me at once, and I yelped, realizing I had just run in front of a car.

With a screeching swerve, the vehicle slid around me, just barely colliding with my thin physique. The demons swirled away, up towards the cloudy sky, leaving me for now. I furrowed my brow, confused at their reaction, and turned back to the car after hearing a door slam. A tall man began slowly walking towards me, his gait tentative and cautious. I peered at him, beginning to feel happy. Hopefully this was one of the two I was looking for! I turned my eyes onto the car, checking to see if this one had a companion that matched the description. Sitting in the driver's seat was a glaring male that had the same physical features as the one my partner had described to me. Finally, I had found them! I had found Sam and Dean!

I quickly noticed that the one walking towards me, who I assumed to be Sam due to his height, had a gun hidden on him. I slowly trotted over to him, wagging my tail to assure him I was friendly. Most people I encountered were afraid of me, being a wolf and all, and Sam was no exception. I could smell caution coming from him, so I quickly rolled onto my stomach, allowing my pale pink tongue to loll from my panting mouth. After bending down, Sam reached out a hand and ruffled the fur on my chest. I beat my tail harder on the warm pavement, enjoying the feeling of someone scratching my fur. After examining my collar, Sam turned to the car.

"Dean, come take a look at this," Sam called to his companion, who was still sitting in the car.

I perked my ears at Dean's approach, scrambling up to my paws. I shook my midnight pelt, ridding it of small stones that had nestled themselves in it. Dean raised a brow, standing beside his crouching brother.

"What am I supposed to be looking at exactly?" Dean asked Sam, looking down on me with a blank expression.

"See the markings engraved on it?" Sam pointed out, gently grabbing my collar and tugging me closer so Dean he could see better. I obeyed, walking closer.

"Yeah, so?" Dean replied, his voice a mixture of slight confusion and boredom.

"Those are demon and angel preventative symbols," Sam revealed, pointing out the different carved markings that decorated my collar.

Yay! First chapter is over! I hope you all like it. Hopefully, Chapter 2 will come out soon.
