"Come on, you're going to have to let go!"

"No, Blair!" Louis stumbled forward on his skates as Blair tugged her arm away from him. He almost fell forward but grabbed the railing. She was giggling and skating circles in front of him now. He was pale from the cold and nervousness, but his cheeks flushed when Blair slid by and gave him a quick peck on the cheek.

It was their first time back in New York after their honeymoon, and she had insisted on taking him to all of her favorite childhood spots. Yesterday had been feeding the ducks, and today they were at the rink. Somehow, despite all their time together and the diamond that rested on her finger, she could still made his stomach flutter with just one look.

She tugged on his jacket sleeve. "Just give it a try. I don't know how you attended a Swiss boarding school and never went ice skating!"

"I was one of the more intellectual types," he shrugged. "I preferred staying inside, studying art, and dreaming about the perfect woman..." His tone grew teasing.

"Ugh." She rolled her eyes.

He took her hand and slowly let go of the railing. Like Bambi taking his first steps, he wobbled slightly, but soon enough found his footing.

"Not bad, eh?"

"For a prince," she teased.

He put one foot in front of the other, letting the blades skim easily over the surface of the ice.

They skated for around an hour, teasing, laughing, and for him- falling.

The cold nipped at their noses. Once she was out of breath, they headed back to the town car.

"I love New York in the winter," she sighed, removing her mittens to undo her skates and fasten her seat belt.

"I love New York whenever I'm with you."

He leaned in for a kiss.
