Three years ago, Zaria Jasmine West vanished.

She didn't go quietly, she went as fittingly as most teenage girls being dragged off to the other side of the world would, but, as her mother said later, "In all truth, Zaria went with much less swearing than we expected, and besides, the Muggle School is suiting her fine."

Zaria, although her name SOUNDS interesting, was really the most ordinary girl you could possibly meet. She was rather witty, sarcastic and had a sharp temper. She was a little taller than average, with wavy brown hair that reached, once forced to stand straight, down to the midst of her back. She had an interesting face, with classical features, and what her doting grandmother, Andromeda referred to as an "English rose complexion". What was utterly different about Zaria was that she was a witch.

Until some months past her thirteenth birthday, Zaria attended a school full of other boys and girls like her. This school was called Hogwarts. Zaria played a sport called Quidditch for her house (Ravenclaw) as a keeper for a year and a half before she moved.

Zaria had quite an abnormal family. She had, as many other girls of sixteen did, a mother, a father, an older brother, a younger sister and a cat. She also had a grandmother, called Andromeda and a grandfather, called Ted. She had an aunt called Nymphadora, who was a bit like a magical special detective. What was different about her family was that her entire family composed of wizards and witches. Her mother, Hestia, had been a Hufflepuff, and before they had moved to New Zealand, she had been a reporter for the wizarding world's foremost newspaper, The Daily Prophet. Her father, Ronan, had been a Gryffindor, and before they had moved, he had been quite an important figure in the magical hospital, Saint Mungos. Her brother, Kyle, who went by his middle name, Jacob, had been a Slytherin, and had been the reason that they had to move, but that is a fact that ought to be discussed later. Her little sister, Carissa, had been too young to attend Hogwarts, but rather enjoyed ballet, and classical music, which as we all know, are quite abnormal traits for a six year old girl. Her grandmother, Andromeda, had been a Hufflepuff, and the family disgrace when she was much younger, which was why Andromeda was possibly the only member of her generation to NOT get placed in Azkaban. Her grandfather, Ted, had been a Ravenclaw like herself, and was a muggleborn. That meant that he had not come from a direct lineage of pure-blooded magic like his beloved wife. Her Aunt Nymphadora, had been a Hufflepuff, and was an Auror, a magical special detective of sorts. She had recently married (to her older sister's complete and utter horror) a much older man by the name of Remus Lupin. To add to the gravity of the situation, he was also a werewolf. This amused Zaria to no extent; she was repeatedly sending her Aunt stuffed toy dogs for the look upon her mother's face when she read the replies to her "presents".

Zaria had been born in England, and had managed to retain her accent, unlike her two siblings. Jacob and Carissa had adopted the native "kiwi" tongue within a week and a half of living in New Zealand. This was quite amusing, as their stay in New Zealand had been cut short, so that her mother and father could fight a war for some people called "The Order of the Phoenix".

Zaria, at sixteen and a half, was returning to her homeland with the intention of causing more and more trouble than before.
