Talon's earliest memories are of the darkness of the Noxus underground tunnel and the blade in his hand. He has no impression of family, warmth or friendliness. The clink of the stolen gold coins and the security of the wall behind him were all he had ever longed for. Talon makes a living by his quick wits and skillful hands. His mastery of the blade quickly made him a threat, and Noxus's guild had sent assassins to ask him to join them or be killed. He replied by dropping the bodies of the intruders into Noxus's moat.
The stabbing became increasingly dangerous, until a killer fought a battle with Talon. To his surprise, Talon was disarmed and bent over the executioner's sword. At this point, the killer revealed his identity: he was an imperial general. The general offered Talon two options, either to die by his sword or to live as Noxus's special envoy. Talon chooses to survive, but only if he serves the general alone. He obeyed only those whom he could not defeat. Talon still carries out secret missions in the dark, from the cold earth to the inner sanctum of other empires. As the general disappeared, Talon regained his freedom.
