Another Mudblood met her fate. Now I stood before the only thing blocking me from the power I had always dreamed of. A small baby, crying pitifully on the floor. They had never had a chance. I would have found them, I knew they had no chance. They must die, but they were no more noble than any other I had killed. They were as flies carelessly slapped on a midsummer evening. I knew what I must do. The prophecy must not be allowed to come true. I must kill the one born of July, who parents had thrice defied me. They would never defy me a fourth time, and this child would not either. I raised my wand to perform the well-practiced curse, a simple phrase,
AVADA KEDVARA!
What is this? I am nothing! I am but air, floating through this ruin! I have been thwarted! The child, the mudblood, the son of filth, has repelled the most powerful curse and caused me to become as nothing! I am Immortal!
