Our bodies move to the beat of the music. The dance music blares in the little club, lights bounce and stream like they themselves want to take part in the fun. People relax at the sides watching us, I take note of this and smile at my partner, a fiery spirited sapphire haired girl. By law we are both too young to be here, as we are not yet 18..Nobody seems to mind this as long as we entertain the crowds though. I guess being an assassin has a few advantages. I get to go places I normally wouldn't get to see and, on occasions like tonight, I get a chance to act like the teenager I am.
The song ends and shifts to a slower, more soothing beat. A melody is played on a classical guitar, people start to gather on the dance floor with their partner. I try to scurry off but the girl catches me. She begs me to stay with her eyes, with a look of such longing that I can't refuse her. We begin to dance again at a slower pace, closer together.
/I'm drowing in sadness,Falling far behind.I feel there is just no way out,Is there anyone there?Where am I/
The words echo what I have too often felt...It was a song meant just for me...and her.
