Why she was so stubborn, Roy would never know. Sure they had a crappy start, I mean with him thinking she was his replacement and the whole mole situation, but once he figured out that she came clean about who her parents were things had gotten better. It took a lot of courage but Artemis finally gave him a chance to explain.
He told her how mad he was about her becoming Green Arrow's new partner when he had just quit. She admitted that she thought he was an obnoxious jerk. Well at least they were getting somewhere. Roy offered to take her out and try to make amends. Artemis declined the first time, but after Kaldur found out he asked her to go try becoming friends.
So afterwards they actually spent a night without insulting or killing each other. That was when he decided to let his grudge go and accept that Artemis was here to stay and there wasn't anything he could do about it anyway. She might even become the little sister he always wanted but didn't have. In a way things were going good for him. Now all he had to do was be nicer to Miss Martian and Superboy.
