When The Dark Seemed So Tempting

By Siren-of-Music

When the dark seemed so tempting,
And the light seemed a blur,
When the evil girl's smile,
Seemed so much more glorious than that of the good,
When the hands with the power of ice,
Captured my heart in their cold grasp.

Sometimes when I close my eyes I see the darkness,
When I find the one I love I may sleep again,
The ice in winter reminds me of the hands holding my heart,
I sit and stare and wonder why,
They have to be so cold,
Why my heart chose the one with the icy gift,
And most of all why I was to fall in love.
