They call me Ticheline. You may as well call me "that whore you spit on this morning on the way to the Temple of Time. Later tonight, you'll call me "the most beautiful girl this side of Zora River, the best lay you've ever had, and will 100 rupees do ya?"

I ought to be charging you twice that, because let's face facts...I'm the closest to bedding royalty you're ever going to get. Do you know who my father was? Can't you even guess? No? He was none other than the Captain of the Hylian Guard. And his wife? She was a cousin to the Queen of Hyrule. You won't find another girl here at Nayru's Love Bar And Tavern with ties like that.

Now, I ain't said that I'm a relative of the queen. No, my blood's not as blue as that. The captain's wife wasn't my mother; I'm what's called a "love child." You know what that means, right? Let's just say the captain's palate wasn't satisfied with just one flavor, if you get my drift. He went for the more...exotic, sometimes. You may have noticed Hylian girls ain't the only ones working here in this back alley dive. Nayru's Love has its share of Gerudo women, too. Life in the desert must be hard on them, because for one reason or another, they left their home out there in the sand and wound up here. Gotta make a living somehow, you know.

Anyway, seems like the captain found comfort in the arms of one of the Gerudos here. Comfort from what? From grief, of course. Sad as it is, the poor fellow's wife and kids were murdered some years ago. They got the guy that done it, at least. Musta been all kinds of crazy to do in a gorgeous noble lady and two little boys like that. He's keeping the dungeon rats company for life now, I hear. But when you been wronged, even justice done won't take away the pain. Throwing that killer in the dungeon wasn't gonna bring the captain's family back, in any case. So, to get away from it all, he started spending his nights here, where he wound up giving some Gerudo working girl-you guessed it-me!

Never got to meet the old man myself, sorry to say. Though he did send me money every month since I was born, and my mother told me anything about him I thought to ask...including how he died. Back when Ganondorf seized HyruleCastle, the captain went down fighting the Gerudo King. Valiantly, I got no doubt. They say if it weren't for him, Princess Zelda would never have escaped the castle.

Y'know, it makes me wonder what he'd think of me today. My father, I mean. Should the only surviving child of a proud soldier be squandering his legacy like this? You know...pourin' Goron stout into mugs? Dancin' to whatever no-account band strolls in the tavern? Rollin' in the sack with the likes of you? Surely a Justinian is bound for greater things. I've never even held a sword. Isn't that a blasphemy? The blood of a brave guard captain in my veins, and I ain't never fought worth a lick. Given half a chance, I bet I could take up arms, stand before the Evil King himself and avenge my father. Heheh, not that I would. That's just the stout talking.

But, it's as the Gossip Stones say, "All good things to those who wait." So, for the timebeing, this here tavern is my place. The bedroom in the back, that's my place too...except for the right price, for an hour or so it could be our place, y'know. You'll do for now. This life will do for now. But you just watch. One day soon, I'll be off for something greater. You'll see.
