I've been writing these in my head for years, but this is the first time i've ever put one on paper. reviews are appreciated.

Despite Dean's insistence that they had lost too much already, Sam was stealing himself for Bobby's death.

He prepared himself for Dean to withdraw so far within himself that it was almost like losing him on top of Bobby.

He expected to deal with the outlash of violence, angry words, and misdirected punches.

He was ready for sleepless nightmare-filled nights and days of copious drinking while he could only look on and hope that it was soon over.

He was not prepared for Dean to slump forward as his legs gave out underneath him.

He did not expect the heart-wrenching, body-racking, unrelenting sobs that were now coming from his slouched over brother.

Sam was not ready.
