A/N: I do not own Harry Potter or Pokémon, sadly. Also I'm an American so please for any people who live in the British Isles reading this, sorry if I don't get everything right.
-Line Break-
An eight-year-old Harry Potter was walking around the town of Surrey. Why would a child of eight walk around town like that you ask. It's simple, his relatives abandoned him that day to the streets and told him not to darken their doorstep ever again.
-Flashback-
Vernon Dursley threw Harry into the back of his car. "This will teach you not to hurt Dudley you freak!" He exclaimed with a growl. You see Dudley was beating Harry up for no reason, when Harry's magic reacted and pushed Dudley into a tree in the backyard. When he hit the tree Dudley yelled for Vernon, he and Petunia came. Petunia "treated" Dudley and Vernon threw Harry into the car. Vernon drove Harry to the middle of town and threw him out of the car, "Never return Freak" Vernon growled.
-End Flashback-
Harry leaned on the side of a building and slunk to the ground and started to cry, not a single person comforted him. He suddenly looked up at the sky. "No I can't be downtrodden by this, I-I have to find shelter, maybe an orphanage" He whispered to himself, he got up and looked around when he saw a blue card with a red and white ball on it. He picked it up and flipped it over, on the other side was a Purple Snake with yellow eyes with slits for puples, and a golden rattle on the end of it. Harry read it, it said
:Ekans, Hp 50 Basic
Bite, 30
Glare: Paralysis the opponent:
"Woah" Harry whispered in amazement that such a thing existed if he was still with his relatives they would have flipped, he stuck the card into his pocket. He tried to remember any Orphanages near him, when he remembered one, Home For Orphaned Children, he remembered reading that it was one of the best. He started his little quest towards it. He went through twists and turns, accidentally ran into a few people, and about thirty minutes later he found it. The building had red bricks and a white door, it was a about three stories tall. "Here it is" He declared with a shy smile. He walked up to the door and knocked on it, a kind old woman opened it.
"Hello there little guy, what's your name?" She asked him.
"M-my name's H-Harry Potter ma'am" Harry replied shyly to her.
"Harry, that's a nice name, my name's Mary" Mary greeted as she held out her hand for him to take, he did so and took her hand as she led him inside.
