If there was one word to describe Detective David Tapp, none would be more accurate than obsessive. And in a place like the one he was in now, his was the only obsession that mattered. Decades of bringing down serial killers and his ultimate defeat at the hands of the Pig gave him an overwhelming encyclopedia of experience, but it was the death of his partner, Detective Sing, that sharpened his focus to a deadly point.
Some survivors managed to be little more than a nuisance, but Tapp was a killer's worst nightmare. He knew how they operated, knew what tools they needed and where they planned to take the captured survivors. He was always one step ahead. Right now, he had to find Meg and Dr. Francis and rescue Dwight before the Wraith found one of them first. Detective Tapp hefted his standard issue flashlight, a remnant from a lifetime prior, and began his perilous trek through the Autohaven Wreckers junkyard.
