I can't do it
The weather was cool, the birds were joyfully singing and everything was just peaceful and composed… Well, almost everything.
- Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! – You could clearly hear a loud, but shrill scream, which probably belonged to some child.
- No no no no no!!! I'm not going!
- You are. – A beautiful young woman replied emotionlessly while taking another sip of her herb tea.
- But it isn't fair! I don't need that vaccine thing anymore! I'm a strong shaman after all!
- It's not worth complaining, Hana.
- But-
- You have no choice. – That was her last statement.
He frowned madly.
Hana Asakura had already accepted his real parents instead of Tamao, and, actually, they were getting along pretty well, but still, sometimes, he just enjoyed using the fact that they didn't raise him from three to six to win whatever he wanted…
- I won't obey you! You're not my mom! – He said angrily.
He could see a vein popping out of her forehead as an ice glare was sent towards him.
He stood still. Scared stiff.
- Good. I'm not your mom. Now, change quickly before the woman, WHO is not your mom, gets too angry and sent you to China without blinking! GOT IT? – She demanded, already annoyed.
He lowered his gaze muttering silently and headed to his room while she just followed, frowning.
Still looking downward, he took a long breath before sitting and reaching for his shoes. Which made Anna get even more upset. Nevertheless she kept staring without a word. But, suddenly, her hard feature changed to a warm one when she saw her son having a hard time trying to tie up his shoes.
She sighed and smiled slight.
- C'mon. Let me help you with this… - she started approaching him but he stopped her.
- No! I don't need you! I can do that by myself! Now get off! – He dodged, while signing to his mother to get out, with his small hands.
She stared hardly at him.
- Good! But I better see you ready in less than three minutes! – She replied quickly, walking past the door and shutting it behind her.
Five minutes had passed when a little blonde boy appeared, apparently hiding something behind his back. The couple that was embracing each other a while ago just broke apart to look curiously at the boy.
Mom… - He started shyly, still not looking at them. – I can't do it… - He admitted frowning with a slight blush on his cheeks and slowly revealed a pair of untied shoes once hidden on his back.
Yoh and Anna smiled at each other, and without warning, they picked him up and hugged him strongly.
It's ok. Let's just get ready now, shall we. – The Itako said while putting him on the floor and helping him with the shoes.
Ohhh… - He moaned in frustration. - I don't wanna go…
Ne Champ, you're a strong boy! I'm sure you can handle it! By the way we can buy a lot of Ice cream when you are done! – Yoh added with a big grin, which made the boy lighten up while the mom just sighed in defeat.
It'd be a joyful day after all.
