Version Three point zero... Crap

We were in the air... again. Running away... again. We were somewhere over the Great Plains I think our wings pumping furiously as we raced away from the erasers. Yes I did in fact just say erasers. Apparently those stupid whitecoats created version 3.0 or something.

Normally I'd be all for a fight but seeing as these new erasers had guns actually attached to their arms I didn't exactly want to take any chances. much as that irritated me...

I shot a glance at Fang who nodded towards the little wood below us. The erasers were steadily gaining on seeing as we hadn't had any- I repeat any sleep in two count 'em two days we weren't doing too well in the energy area.

"Guys!' I shouted above the wind, "45 degrees southwest. Preform evasive move and try and get these guys off our tails."

I felt a burst of pride as they put on their battle faces forgetting how tired they were and immediately angled downward and into the trees. I looked behind me and saw three erasers following me. Even though they were 3.0 they still weren't as nimble in the air as we were and what with their broad wings they succeeded in practically ripping them off their backs.

My laugh was ripped from my mouth in the wind. I looked ahead saw Fang a little bit in front of me and turned myself in his direction. He hadn't heard me yet so I tapped him on his right wing as I passed over him and laughed even harder as he jumped, a hard feat to do in the air let me tell you.

He glared at me when he caught up but didn't say anything. I stuck my tongue out at him. i could see the others ahead of us and rushed over to them. They were okay except for some scratches from where the branches had caught them.

"Okay guys... Who wants to crash in a hotel tonight?" I was greeted with several cheers and some sarcastic remarks about finally being able to get some sleep.

I rolled my eyes and before i could even ask for help the Voice said There is a hotel a mile to the west of you. You have reservations under Max and Nick Ride.

Oh.... well thanks Voice. I, uh, appreciate that I guess...
