Every morning Sakura would go for a run down by the beach. It was therapeutic for the young pink-haired woman to just run. Sometimes she would keep going for hours, following the ocean's edge. It helps her forget. That's the best part.

Sakura Haruno. That name had once held so much meaning and power. In the pinkette's prestigious high school years, everyone knew her. She ranked number one on the charts and was the student council president in her senior year. Queen Bee, some of her fellow classmates dubbed her. It was a title Sakura took with stride, living up to her reputation. How could she have refused?

There was a certain crowd that you had to be apart of for the Queen Bee to notice you. To be in her good graces was a feat not easily achieved. Her attitude was just as well-known as her name, they generally coincided.

Of the entire school, only a select few could be allowed into her social circle: the captain of the basketball team, Kiba Inuzuka, the head cheerleader, Ino Yamanaka, and of course the most popular boy in all of Konoha, Sasuke Uchiha. The four of them easily ruled the school.

After graduation, the four of them went their own ways, each pursuing different careers and attending different colleges. Years later, Kiba became an NBA star, Ino a successful model, and Sasuke took over his father's law firm with his Uncle Madara.

Sakura could have chosen any lifestyle under the sun. The pinkette could have been: a professor, a rocket scientist, a senator, or even a business owner. Whatever she desired was easily within her grasp, but she tossed it all aside.

It was her choice, yet there were times when she wondered what her life would have been like if she'd stayed in college. If she hadn't made that one life altering decision, if she had not chosen a man over her education, then where would she have ended up? Would her life have turned out better?

Panting and exhausted, Sakura slowed to a stop. She collapsed on the cool sand, allowing her toes to dig into minute rocks. Her apple green orbs peered out at the sea that stretched beyond the horizon. It was only after sprinting until she was without breath that the Haruno could find peace of mind. All her inner conflict and life questions were kept down by the pounding of her heart filling her eardrums.

Ring. Ring. Ring.

Sighing, the pink-haired girl retrieved her cellular device from the red knapsack that she carried. Pressing the 'talk' button and holding the cell to her ear, she answered,

"Hello?"

The response was, "Hey, turn around."

Curiously glancing over her shoulder, Sakura was incredulous.

Walking towards her across the sand was a young man holding a bouquet of white blossoms. He was dressed in black dress pants and a white button-down long-sleeved shirt that was left open to reveal his pale, muscular chest. He had slicked back silver hair, the most stunning violet eyes, and a smug grin plastered on his face.

With the last of her strength, the pink-haired woman pushed herself up onto her feet and bolted across the beach. Quickly closing the distance, Sakura rammed right into the man. Barreling him over, the pair fell back into the sand. As he sat up, pinkette straddling his lap, green met purple and the silver-haired man openly laughed at Sakura's enthusiasm.

Holding up the sand-covered cherry blossoms, Hidan brashly said, "Happy, Fucking, Anniversary, Babe."

More than any career ever could, Sakura's unpredictable husband fulfilled her life completely.
