Title: Eat Their Young
A/N: This is the first drabble in Eat Their Young, a series of one hundred Hyuuga clan drabbles. It will feature both canon and OC characters and not all of the chapters will have such a heavy tone.

This is the clan that eats their young; this is the clan that devours all. No one who is drawn in ever really sees the light again and they labor on in darkness, blind despite their all-seeing eyes.
The Hyuuga are a close-knit family, but this is not out of love and being close-knit does not necessarily denote loyalty. They might be vaguely pleasant to one another at first, might be courteous or even friendly. But if those in the Branch are given the chance for freedom, however far-fetched, they will stab anyone in the back whom they need to.
Then, they watch freedom taken away, and their own skins flayed and displayed on the ramparts.
It's up to any and every member of the Hyuuga clan to make what they will of their life in the dark.
Sometimes, it can even be beautiful.
