"Wake up, Ber. Time to eat breakfast."

"Hmm…" He rolled over onto his side, where Tino couldn't rouse him as easily, and sleepily reveled in his temporary victory. That is, until he straddled him, and whispered in his ear, "We have plans with Mathias today."

He groaned. Mornings were not the time to be reminded of the Dane, and especially of the fact that they would have to spend time with him. The Finn smiled lightly, and got off of him. Then, Tino tried to push him over, in a futile attempt to get him off the bed. "Come on, get up already!"

No response. Maybe if Berwald tried to stall the plans, he could avoid having to even see Mathias at all that day…

"Hey, what are you doing?! Let me go!" He squirmed around but was stopped by a soft kiss to his cheek. His arms held him in a warm hug, having taken him by surprise, and he finally stopped moving around. The sound of his steady heartbeat lulled Tino in this calm morning. Blankets, as unnecessary as they were, were pulled up, and they provided an extra cover from the outside world. The sunlight filtered in and created a hazy atmosphere around them. It was all so deliciously warm and cozy. Mornings like these were rare anymore.

It was even rarer that Berwald spoke more than ten words. Instead, he showed it all through his actions, for they spoke louder than words. Tino looked up with sweet eyes to see a faint smile curve his lover's lips. I love being here with you. A slightly calloused hand, rough from years of hard work, stroked his hair. I want to care for you, like you do for me. The hand moved down to his arm, and rubbed the soft skin up and down, adding more comforting warmth. I love indulging in every part of you. The smaller man snuggled closer, and Berwald rested his head on his. The façade slipped away; he was just as vulnerable as anyone else, despite his strength and sturdiness. Everyone needed to depend on someone, to be supported by those they love.

It was these mornings, when he would say all the things he couldn't say in everyday life, and not have to say a single word. And it was wonderful.
