I am shadow, a normal zorua not much to be said, my only friend has been a vulpix for years, my parents are dead, and i am just to wander.. but one day... Zorua ran through the grass, to a small lake.. there she was. a female Vulpix named Ruby. She was staring off at the lake, probably taking in the freash air. Shadow walked over to her. "Ah, hey" Shadow Said as he approched her. "Ahh, Shadow.. Im glad you're ok, are you hurt? do you have enough berries to eat? Are–" "Im fine" Shadow interuptted, "You worry to much." He laughed. "Im sorry, but i wanna make sure your fine.. its just that..." Ruby stutterd she loved Shadow he was strong, kind, could take on enemies bigger than himself, she blushed before saying "I lov–" "Hold that Thought" he said "A male gardevoir walked past, his name was canyon, but both Ruby and Shadow Knew he was working for Darkrai "Ha! look at you... useless cretures" "Were not useless you are!" Shadow yelled he wasn't about to be pushed around. "Pfft, and what are you gonna do cry?" he then laughed at his own words Shadow said, "i'd kill you cuase I have the type advantage." Canyon chocked on his words, he wasn't a fairy–psychic type like other gardevoirs he was just psychic. Canyon scoffed and went down the trail. "You shouldn't do that he could–" Ruby stopped when Shadow Yelled "Do What Ruby!?" "He.. um.." Ruby just didn't want to cuase trouble she wasn't a tough guy like shadow. "Thats right Ruby.. he won't do anything. we're fine." "Ohh your right Ruby agreed" she knew if something did happen he was there, for her. a few months later Shadow, sadly met a eevee.. They were becoming good friends. Fast. And Ruby thought that the eevee would get feelings for Shadow and they would..get together. But Ruby said to herself "So? I should be happy for them, And ill still be Shadow's friend Shadow wouldn't care about my feelings towards him any longer if... he got with her." So putting that on her mind cooled her. and she went to go vist him. she went to the cave he slept in and went inside there they were, just talking. Ruby smiled and said "don't forget about me!" Shadow turned and grinned. "Ruby, didn't expect you." shadow said "Well, here I am" she said back. Shadow left to get something, while he was gone, ruby noticed the eevee shy, and blushing. "Whats wrong?" she asked "Well" the eevee said softly "Im in love with Shadow.. but I.. don't know what to say" Ruby sighed. But she knew she should help, "just be yourself and tell him how you feel" the eevee looked at Ruby, and then at the ground "Your right, thats always the best way" Ruby nodded, and smiled She knew she did the right thing, as she got home she closed the door behide her "dinners readdy Ruby" her grandpa said, her grandpa was a delphox kind and charming, "ill eat later" she said "by the way what year is it grandpa" "1761" her grandpa answerd, "thanks" she said as she went to her room She thought "the year is 1761.. lets see.. the year is 1761.. if their relationship is good then they will probably get married on.." "There i go again" she sighed, "uselesd info i have no buisness predicting." She looked at herself "How do i know if they are getting married? thats none of my buisness, and why am i trying to guess the date!?" she kept thinking before she said to herself "Do I really love him?" "Am i... a good friend?.. No, im not." She nodded knowing she shouldn't see him anymore, why should she ruin their relationship? its none of her Damn business! she knew that was it. A year past she never found another true friend like Shadow, he was still in the back of her mind. she sighed she knew it was no use she decided to go outside and take it off her mind she walked on tne trail and she found the lake.. the lake were they first met. it was pretty, but before anything else crossed her mind she had a sudden pain pierce her. she looked down, and there it was a arrow she looked up and saw him, canyon. "Now whos gonna save you? huh? haha! hail darkrai!" she collasped on her side before canyon disappeared in the darkness she lied their. bleeding she couldn't do anything. untill she heard something, she looked up helplessly and saw. Shadow. he seemed surpised and rushed over to help "Ruby! You alright?" he tried to keep his calm but he was panicking he removed the arrow that was pierceing her and asked "What happend..!?" she studdered "I.. was.. attacked.. by canyon" she founed it hard to breate "Damn it, I should have known hed take it out on somebody" "Shouldn't you be with your girl..friend..?" Ruby asked "Girlfriend? what do you mean?" he asked back "The eevee" she answerd "she told me she liked you..she should have confessed by now" Ruby said faintly Shadow paused before saying. "Oh, well you see. she was in love with a decideye, the decideye's name was shadow too, i was just helping her as a friend." Ruby thought about.. then became very embarrassed about all the things she did.. "Oh...uh" Ruby was embarrassed and it was super effective "this is no time for this you need help! i don't want to lose you! i need yo–" he was hushed by A kiss. As Ruby and Shadow broke the kiss Ruby studderd "Shadow.. i've loved you for a long time.. and now i finally get to say it." Shadow was amazed, he never felt love before but the feeling.. "Ruby I.. I love.. you to." Ruby put a paw on his cheek before saying "I'd knew you come through" Shadow knew he need to carry her to the hospital he picked her up and stood on his hign legs, oh how it hurt, he saw ruby do this before, But he was better off on all fours. when he got to the hospital the docter, a audino was quick about the damage. The docter later came out and said "well the damage is not to badm she'll live shadow sighed in relief "thank you ma'me" he said "she's asleep right now but you can take care of her if you want" the doctor said, "Ill do that" shadow replied as he took her to his cave he set her down on the bed and layed beside her, as he closed his eyes he felt Ruby lick his cheek before saying "I love you" "You need the rest, it'll be good for you, I love you to, Ruby" as they kissed eachother goodnight. the next day Shadow awoke he looked at the other side of the bed and noticed Ruby was gone He looked across the cave and saw ruby making breakfast. Ruby looked behide her and smiled "breakfast is almost ready, dear." Shadow smiled and said "Marry me, and im not taking no for an answer." he grinned at Ruby said "Yes, lets." she smiled back at him and they both laughed knowing, life will be good. EXTRA: Shadow got his gear on and and went downstairs he saw his son, a poochyena named scar "awww your leaving?" The adorable poochyena asked. "Yes dear." Ruby answerd "Your fathers a busy man. hes a adventurer." "Im gonna be a adventuerer when I grow up!" scar said "Im sure you will" said Ruby as she turned towrds shadow to kiss him goodbye "be safe, dear." Ruby said "I will" shadow said as he shut the door he walked twords the town gate before a guard, a charmelon said, "I used to be a adventurer like you, then i took a arrow in the knee."
