My Own Wonder of the World
across the street stood a wonder to be seen
my fence to be hopped,
my playground to be explored
my daddy to play with
the cold metallic feeling of metal as the descent was made
a vast cloud of chalky dirt filled our mouths as our feet touched the ground
rings dangling from heaven, so familiar, so enjoying,
my own oasis
like a chorus of musicians they played,
clangs, clink, bssssshhhhh, ding ding ding, thonk thonk
to me my playground was my world,
my sanctuary in a world so confusing,
naïve, and delighted, in the bliss of innocence
