Hurley, he's a fun, lovable guy but, after being constantly taunted and teased by Sawyer he changed his life dramatically. After being rescued from the island, Hurley could not take the haunting memory of Sawyer's nicknames and harassments. Names such as Jumbo-Torn, Value Pack, Lardo, Pork Pie, Muttonchops, and Jaba. Soon after arriving home, Hurley began a crash dieting program and quickly developed an eating disorder. Several months passed and Hurley was soon nothing more then skin and bones. Hurley's destructive dieting soon led to his death.
Sayid, one of the groups protectors and an overall good guy. Sawyer got to him as well. Broken down by Sawyer's racial nicknames such as Abdul, Al Jazeera, Omar, Captain Falafel, Ali, and Mohammed, Sayid decided to dramatically alter his life. Once home, Sayid had his skin bleached and took up work as a Michael Jackson impersonator. Unfortunately for Sayid, his new profession just gave Sawyer more to make fun off.
Kate, the only one Sawyer would never make fun of right? Wrong. After being called Freckles time after time, Kate couldn't take it anymore. As soon as they got back home, Kate went strait to a dermatologist. After multiple, painful visits all of Kate's freckles were gone. To prevent more freckles from forming, Kate spent the rest of her life living as a hermit and avoiding sunlight at all cost.
Jack, the leader of the pack, the strong one, the protector. He to was not safe from Sawyer's mockery. Doc, Dr Quinn, Dr Do Right and many other similar nicknames drove jack over the edge. When he first returned home, Jack tried to return to his old life. Everything he did made him think back to Sawyers nasty remarks and nicknames. Soon after, Jack quit his job as a doctor and took up a job that Sawyer would never know of, there for he could never mock or tease Jack again. Jack's new job was as a secret agent.
John Locke, one of the stronger survivors of flight eight fifteen. In old cultures elders were revered and looked up to, Sawyer must have skipped history class that day. After calling Locke Mr. Clean time after time, Locke bought a toupee and developed a physiological condition. Now whenever John Locke hears the words "Mr. Clean" he becomes distressed and irrational, often he will scream "I DO NOT SMELL THE FRESH SENT OF ORANGE!!" Till this day physiologists are baffled.
As for Sawyer, he simply sits back laughing at his old companions current conditions.
