Ryan Evans had had a difficult time after graduating from Julliard a few years ago. He had wanted to do musical productions written by his wife and choreographed by him, but they were rejected. They moved out of New York and back to their hometown of Albuquerque where they could afford things a little better. He was on his way home from work and was maneuvering the beat up old Pontiac that he had inherited from his father-in-law through the slick winter streets when he noticed an older lady standing on the shoulder of the road. He pulled off to the side and offered to put the spare tire on her Mercedes. She was very grateful for his help, especially after it seemed that a hundred people just passed her by. He refused the money she offered, even when she tried to insist that he take it. He just wanted her to pay it forward.

"You don't owe me a thing, I've been there too. Someone once helped me out just the way I'm helping 't let the chain of love end with you, " he advised

After he drove off the elderly woman decided to grab a bite to eat. She found an old cafe and went inside. Her waitress was a petite, spectacled brunette that looked about eight months along and dead on her feet. The older woman left the money for her meal on the table and went on her way. The waitress went to get her change for a hundred dollar bill. Underneath the money was a napkin with a note. She had tears in her eyes as she read what she wrote.

"You don't owe me a thing, I've been there too. Someone once helped me out just the way I'm helping you. Don't let the chain of love end with you,"

She looked at the napkin in amazement as she realized that the other woman had left her more than ninety-three dollars for her tip. When she arrived home she was still thinking about the money and what the lady's note had said. As her husband lay there sleeping beside her in their bed she whispered,

"Everything is going to be alright. I love you, Ryan."
