"Thanks Sally" Annabeth Chase daughter of Athena said as she got out of her boyfriend's mom's car.

"Thanks mom" Percy said.

" Your welcome kids. Just remember be safe and have fun. I'll see you in three weeks or so. Bye"

"Your mom's awesome Percy." Annabeth said.

"I know she is" He responded.

Together they walked hand in hand to Thalia's tree. Taking their time and enjoying each other's company.

"Hey Peleus." Annabeth greeted the dragon. Percy couldn't help but notice how amazing his girlfriend was. She was smart. She put of with his stupidity (must of the time). She was fearless, pretty, and she was his best friend. Annabeth looked over at him and smiled. How was it possible that she could still give him butterflies in his stomach just by looking at him? He pulled her into a kiss, which she gladly returned. Until a group of Aphrodite camper started giggling. They pulled apart blushing. She turned to him and said." Come on lets go unpack. "

As soon as they walked into Percy's cabin, Annabeth had a look of horror on her face. "How can you live like this?" She asked him.

"Easy." He responded " I make a mess of thing and wait until someone cleans it for me."

Annabeth rolled her eyes at her boyfriend's remark.

"I'm not helping you with kitchen duty."

"Wait- there's inspection today."

"Yeah."

"Oh gods I'm screwed."

"Have fun cleaning you cabin." Annabeth said as she started walking towards the Athena cabin.
"Annabeth. That's not fair." He said.

Annabeth simply laughed and stuck out her tongue at her boyfriend. Then she went back to her cabin. She started to unpack, when Malcolm came up to his little sister and grabbed her into a bear hug.

"Malcolm." Annabeth said with excitement. She hadn't seen her older brother since the end of August and she missed him.

"How's my little sister." He asked her.

"Absolutely amazing." She answered honestly. "What about you?"

"Couldn't be better."

"Great."

They carried on a conversation, until finally Malcolm asked, " How are things with you and Percy? As an older brother I'm required to know."

"Good."

They sat there in awkward silence.

"You guys are being safe?"

Annabeth reaction to this went something like 0_0

"I mean have you done anything?"

"What? No!"

'Really because the way you two were swamping saliva, it seemed like you had."

"We haven't"

Malcolm gave his sister a steady look and said, " Alright but be careful"

And that just made the awkward silence unbearable.

That night at the campfire, everything was perfect. Percy was grumbling about having kitchen duty, and Annabeth just laughed.

"Okay everyone, group picture." Katie shouted

"Why?" Travis asked

"Because look at us. We're finally living life the right way. We're not dead, or injured. We have relationships and families. We're finally completely and totally happy. I want to remember this forever. "

"Fine."

Percy put his arm around Annabeth, and she leaned her head against his shoulder.

"On the count of three. One. Two Three. Cheese." Katie said as some daughter of Apollo named Grayson took the photo.
Katie was right everything was perfect.

Little did Annabeth know that she would look down at the picture for the next several months trying not to cry, because it wasn't twelve hours later when Percy Jackson disappeared.
