It's dark everywhere I look.
And I.. am at my wit's end. I am desperate. Hell is within walking range of me. These AIs... what do they want from me? I don't even know how I provoked them.
I turn around and.. oh Sweet Lord, they're still after me. They effortlessly slashed through the machines I've been struggling to sneak around for days! Bulletproof machines that I couldn't even harm with my revolver! They're crazy!
I once again turn back to run without skipping a beat with all that's left of my fading strength.
My heart is pounding. I don't know if I can make it. I feel like this is the end. Something in front of me that seems to be a staircase catches my attention, and I go for it as fast as I can.
Oh no.
I fell. There were none.
Both my shirts and pants are dripping in blood, except that now I can't even feel my legs. I try desperately to get up, but it won't work. My legs simply refuse to stand, as if I... Shit! I just broke my legs!
I quickly search my surroundings, and find one door with a key. If it'll buy me one last instant.. it's worth it.
I crawl with my arms to the door down the corridor, no matter what it takes. I can hear them getting closer. This is bad! I never thought I'd say this, but I wish I was already dead by now!
I'm at the door. I reach out for the doorknob with every last bit of my strength left, and pray that I can lock it in time, as unlikely as it sounds. But it's always better to hope-
"Individual should greet YoRHa units 2B and 9S."
I turn around, and see a faint light showing them, not ten feet away from me. What the hell? Were they talking to me through some sort of telepathic robotic voice program?
I pull out the revolver from my pocket, and pull the trigger-
"Individual should not provoke YoRHa units 2B and 9S in physical combat."
The boy shrugs off my last bullet as if it's nothing and deflects it with his large sword.
I drop my revolver in shock, and do the last thing I still can.
I stare in horror, helplessly, without a word.
