Sara stood in the break room, looking over a current case file. Her gaze was repeatedly being diverted due to a strange, eerie feeling that someone was watching her. She had never considered herself paranoid, but this was just unusual. Every few minutes, she would stop to look through the glass at the hallway and the different labs then shake her head at the stupid thought.
Something clicked and she turned her head slightly to catch the perpetrator. In all honesty, she wasn't too surprised by who it was. Grissom was sitting comfortably on the couch behind her, and he was 'reading' last month's forensic science journal. It was held just above his nose but definitely was not high enough to obstruct his view of her ass. Sara would have believed that he was reading it, if it wasn't for the fact that it was turned upside down.
"See anything interesting?" She turned her body to fully face him, crossing her arms whilst waiting for his response.
"Excuse me?" He maneuvered his head slightly to look at Sara straight in the eyes, worried that she may have caught him staring.
She pointed at the magazine and said, "The journal you're reading."
"Oh, no. Nothing much, I read this last month." Grissom sighed aloud in relief.
A grin made its way to her lips as she spoke, "I see. So, now you're trying to find something new by reading it upside down?"
Crap!
The entomologist looked downwards at the magazine and cursed himself for being so stupid. "I've...er...got to go now," Grissom stuttered, standing up from the couch and making a beeline to his office.
