Tokyo Tentacle Chapter 1: Arcs Summary Guide, a tokyo ghoul/東京喰種トーキョーグール fanfic

A/N: This is a guide or like a Table of Contents for those who wants to know the summary of the arcs or chapter. I added with/without spoiler lists so if the fic is too long and you just want to browse, check here. Unfamiliar names just google them, every character is from TG. This will be updated according to reviewer's request.

TOKYO TENTACLE GUIDE:

List of Arcs (without spoiler):

1. Dragon General Arc (part 1-9) CCG is secretly trying to find out who the Dragon General is before one of their investigators are abducted again. Introduction for most of the characters like Kaneki Ken, Takizawa Seidou, Akira Mado, Suzuya Juuzou, Hinami Fueguchi and Anteiku.

- Post Dragon General Arc The aftermath of their final battle in the 11th Ward. Plus the introduction to the next arc focusing on Touka's love life, Kaneki trying to fit in society and Hide having to choose between his best friend and the girl of his dreams.

2. Rabbit Love Arc (part 1-7) Highlights more on Anteiku and its workers. (focusing on Touka's love life, Kaneki trying to fit in society and Hide having to choose between his best friend and the girl of his dreams) and a foreshadowing of Jason's brutality in the next arc. And a happy couple.

3. Jason's Obscenity Arc (part 1-8) One of Anteiku's workers still haven't returned from a mission. Probably one of the arcs that is Rated M overall. Kaneki trying to fit in at work. And more about Jason and flashbacks that are connected to the fic's prequel Days Gone By Tokyo. Clowns would show up as well.

- Post Jason's Obscenity Arc (part 1-3) After their big battle with Jason, this is the impact to Anteiku and its workers. Also introducing love interest/triangle for Juuzou and of course Aogiri Tree is coming soon. Nishiki finally joins the team. And hints of Rize.

4. Haise Sasaki Arc (part 1-8) Introduction of Haise Sasaki. More about CCG, Kaneki Ken, Suzuya Juuzou and Akira Mado. Aogiri Tree shows up but mostly we get to see Miza a lot. A bit of Anteiku recovering from the previous arc and the antagonist comes to the screen. Furuta. Also, preparation for the next arc. CCG will raid the 20th Ward and at the same time looks like Aogiri has plans and Anteiku is caught in between so they split up to prepare their retreat.

5. Mass-Raid Operation Arc (part 1-6) The Mass-Raid Operation that the Washuu's executed has began. Anteiku find themselves dealing with both Aogiri and CCG at the same time. Ayato officially joins the team. Furuta makes his first move and that's bad for both Juuzou and Shinohara. More likely it's just about CCG hunting the Owl and fights here and there.

- Post Mass-Raid Operation Arc (part 1-2) The result of the sudden mass-raid is not good. All parties lost someone. Nutcracker/Mayu and Naki officially joins the team! An introduction to what the Two memory project is about, more about the past and the facility. Kaneki is yet again in another ultimatum, Furuta claims that he finally found Akira's father's true killer and they're going to torture this person in Cochlea.

6. Two Memory Project Arc (part 1-4) Rize officially joins the team! Sorta. Matasaka Kamishiro, Matsumae, Tsukiyama Shuu as well. This focuses on clarifying the mysteries about the Two Memory Project, how it works, a little more about the facility and what exactly happened to Yakumo Oomori before he became Jason and to Rize before she became the Binge Eater. The Clowns makes their debut once again. Takizawa siblings gets a lot of scenes from here on out.

7. The Funeral - Special Episode - (before Gentrification Arc begins) Kureo's funeral. Kurona returns! Juuzou and Akira hangs out before the funeral. Marude's bike. Rize officially joins the team! For real this time. And of course, the return of Yomo Renji's ex-girlfriend.

8. Gentrification Arc (part 1-7) - Pro-Tentacle campaign is a powerful thing. CCG is having problems, tentacle crime rate is rising and a female Jason appeared out of nowhere. Amon also makes his return. V/Black Hats makes their appearance official right about here and of course more annoying Furuta schemes that will bring war between humans and tentacles. Akira's transformation is finally done! Sad deaths...

9. Her Name Is Koharu - Special Episode - this happened somewhere in Gentrification Arc. Yomo will be given an ultimatum between his ex-girlfriend and the one he loves now. Also Koharu's timeline when and where she was when she disappeared.

11. Clash and Revolt - The result of Furuta stirring up the people/tentacles for war. Miza helping Akira recover. Roma/Gypsy is taken to Kanou's lab after a long time. Seina gets rescued by her teacher and her crush. Roma's flashback (Days Gone By Tokyo). Takizawa reunites with his rival after so long.

12. Days Gone by Tokyo - The End - The final chapter and the end of the prequel of this fic (Days Gone by Tokyo). Trying to help return Yomo's girlfriend's memories, someone sacrifices their to be a hero.

13. Gypsy's Memories - Clown's Reunite - Roma's side of the story. She doesn't show up a lot in this fic or the prequel, but this is her POV on certain events. Also, more information about her power and such. Then we're back to the present.

15. Tokyo Tentacle - Origins - Kaneki, Juuzou, Takizawa and Akira find out the origins of tentacles, clarifications about the facility and their projects, special subjects and the lab. A bit of Itori's childhood.

16. Final Experiment Arc - the final arc where everything is chaotic and it's just really a tragedy.

List of Arcs (with spoiler):

1. Dragon General Arc (part 1-9) Juuzou and Akira finds Kaneki Ken who is a half-tentacle. Rivalry between Takizawa/Akira. Hinami kills Kureo and Touka gets traumatized since then. Juuzou is raised by Big Madam, flashbacks about him will be seen. He falls for Akira and at the end of the arc, he chose Akira over his Mama. However Akira gets impaled by Big Madam and later escapes.

- Post Dragon General Arc Akira is in a dying state so she's having flashbacks and imaginary moments talking to her deceased father, wanting to join him in death but apparently she survived but her body remained unconscious and she stays at the hospital. Hinami is introduced to going to school and goes to the mall with Touka and Irimi where we learn what an overdrive means.

2. Rabbit Love Arc (part 1-7) Focuses on Touka and Hide's crush on each other and the reunion of Touka, Hide and Kaneki (best of friends). Since Kaneki was missing for eight months, he decided to return and tell them the truth of what happened to him and tells them he became an official CCG investigator. Enji and Irimi are sent on a mission to scout Gourmet and Jason. Enji returns injured while Irimi never did. First hint of Rize is shown here. Enji reports to them that Hide was kidnapped by Gourmet and Touka wants to rush to save him. And they ended up a couple.

3. Jason's Obscenity Arc (part 1-8) One of the most brutal arcs. We get glimpses of Jason's past but mostly of his harsh torture towards his captive, Irimi, and sex/rape moments with her throughout the arc. Anteiku is trying to find her but their clues leads to CCG. Even Uta came to help. When Touka coincidentally finds her on one of her delivery runs, Jason secretly played a game with Irimi regarding Touka's fate (since she got captured). Touka ended up running away and crying and telling Anteiku about it. They use Kaneki to contact CCG to capture Jason after they save Irimi.

- Post Jason's Obscenity Arc (part 1-3) A short timeskip since the arc. Irimi was suffering from previous injuries and a trauma that kept her from being her usual self. Touka is suffering her own trauma (thanks to Kureo) while trying to research how to regrow one's lost tentacles. Rize appears once again through Kaneki and we get a bit of information about the facility as it seems that it was located in the 3rd Ward. Hinami gives up her schooling to help Irimi recover. Kaneki is bothered that the voice in his head seems to get louder and louder. And a mystery of who killed Jason since CCG found him and his men slaughtered.

4. Haise Sasaki Arc (part 1-8) Introduction of Haise Sasaki. Juuzou encourages Kaneki to impersonate Haise Sasaki for Akira's sake (Because she's been frustrated and mourning lately). Miza meets Juuzou and revealed that she was the infamous Three Blades from Aogiri. She expressed strong attraction towards Juuzou. Akira spends her time happily with Haise (a.k.a. Kaneki). Irimi recovers from physical injuries but is living like a human now. CCG has a big meeting about a mass-raid operation in two weeks. Kaneki warns Anteiku immediately so they can prepare but he later realized that the information given him was a lie and he was locked up while they proceed with the operation. While Anteiku was preparing for it, they split up. Fatefully, Aogiri pays Anteiku a visit, resulting for the One-Eyed Owl to eat both Enji and Irimi.

5. Mass-Raid Operation Arc (part 1-6) Aogiri vs Anteiku. Touka and Ayato reunites after a long time (since Days Gone By Tokyo), Ayato expresses strong disapproval of Hide as his sister's boyfriend but Hide proved he loves Touka even if it means he puts his own life in danger. The Owl vs One-Eyed Owl. CCG vs the Owl. CCG vs One-Eyed Owl. Furuta finds a tentacle with the similar description as Kureo's unidentified killer, forcing Irimi to critically injure Shinohara and announce to everyone he found Kureo's killer. Arima kills the Owl, the One-Eyed Owl retreats and juuzou cries. Anteiku is devastated by the news Shachi has for them. Kaneki has flashbacks along the way and more about Kasuka Mado.

- Post Mass-Raid Operation Arc (part 1-2) Mayu/Nutcracker and Naki saved Enji. Enji reunites with Anteiku and they all gather to talk about the events of the mass-raid. Kaneki finally gets released and learned to hate the Washuu's. Mayu tells them more about the facility and what a Two Memory Project is. Kaneki gets invited to join Akira and Kijima Shiki to Cochlea where Kaneki witnessed Furuta's brutality to torture Irimi to confess that she killed Kureo Mado in front of Akira.

7. The Funeral - Special Episode - (before Gentrification Arc begins) Kureo's funeral. Kurona returns and expressed her love for Juuzou but he rejects her because he loves Akira. Juuzou and Akira spends a lot of time together and Juuzou meets Maris Stella. Marude's bike. And Anteiku living normally. At the funeral, Touka and Hide are watching from afar. Hide was hoping to show Akira that humans are not as cold-blooded as she thinks. At the end of the chapter, Koharu (Yomo's ex-girlfriend) returns to him with a kiss. Female Jason (Irimi) sees this from afar.

8. Gentrification Arc (part 1-7) - Pro-Tentacle campaign is pioneered by Seinan Gakuin Students (including Seina Takizawa) because they believed that there are nice tentacles out there (including their teacher Matsumae). CCG is having problems with that and because the tentacle crime rate is rising thanks to the "Female Jason" that was on a killing spree. Amon also makes his return (Amon x Itori). V/Black Hats makes their appearance official right about here. Akira gets sick (sign of the A-cells causing her to turn into a tentacle) and Juuzou and Kaneki are troubled by this. Haise Sasaki personality is also manifesting at times, attempting to hurt/touch Akira. Furuta and Kijima causes trouble. Female Jason attacks Hinami and Uta.

9. Her Name Is Koharu - Special Episode - this happened somewhere in Gentrification Arc. Yomo will be given an ultimatum between Koharu and Irimi. Also Koharu's timeline when and where she was when she disappeared.

10. Nightmare - Special Episode this happened somewhere in Gentrification Arc. Flashback about Akira's childhood. Juuzou and Kaneki takes Akira to the Shadows in hopes of helping cure her condition. Haise tries to kill/rape Akira but Kaneki allowed her to escape. Akira turns into a half-tentacle and makes her first kill. Roma and Uta find themselves dealing with V members (who has Itori as hostage).

11. Clash and Revolt - The result of Furuta stirring up the people/tentacles for war after killing both Enji and Kijima. Miza helps Akira recover. Roma/Gypsy is taken to Kanou's lab where she knocks out Kanou so she can use Kanou's machine in an attempt to use it to bring back Irimi's memories. Seina gets rescued by Matsumae and Ayato and she joins the team. Roma's flashback (Days Gone By Tokyo). Takizawa reunites with Akira after so long.

12. Days Gone by Tokyo - The End - The final chapter and the end of the prequel of this fic (Days Gone by Tokyo). Roma used everyone to do a multi-memory transfer but when she realized Irimi's trauma was getting in the way, she just used her own memories so that instead of the Female Jason memories, she embeds the ten-years-ago memories. She then sacrificed herself for everyone to escape Kanou's lab.

13. Gypsy's Memories - Clown's Reunite - But Yomo didn't escape as she wished. He uses Kanou's machine to peek into Roma's memories where he sees everything about her, her secrets and the feelings she doesn't openly express to them. She doesn't show up a lot in this fic or the prequel, but this is her POV on certain events. Also, more information about her power and such. Then we're back to the present.

14. Clash and Revolt - Aftermath - this time Houji Kousuke has his own flashback and more about this mysterious facility. Anteiku, CCG and everyone else will finally stand up and beat the crap out of Furuta once and for all. Donato appears, offering a deal to everyone how to find Furuta, how to beat him and how to end the facility's tyranny once and for all.

17. I am Kaneki Ken - Kaneki's own idea of a happy and perfect life as the lyrics of Unravel says (in Jonathan Young's English version though). Then the events that I skipped out of the Final Experiment Arc - Finale will be shown here.
