KAGOME'S THOUGHTS!
Summery: The first movie, when Inuyasha and Kagome are talking through the sacred tree, and her thoughts. Kagome's POV
The snow crunched beneath my feet as I walked toward the sacred tree. I passed my Gramps and Souta, who were chanting, as I looked up at the tree. The sacred tree that held my memories, the very same sacred tree that bound me to him. Him that I would never touch again, never see again, or talk to. Oh Inuyasha!
I looked at the glowing jewel shards in my hand and then back at the tree. Their glow told me that I was still bound to their world. I was still connected. I looked back at the tree, and suddenly felt it calling to me. I walked over to it and placed my hand on it. And I could feel it. The presents that warmed my heart and soul, that wrapped it's warmth around me. I can feel him…I can feel Inuyasha. Am I feeling things? Is this just me feeling what I want? No, then I heard it, his voice.
"Kagome?" It said faintly, it was coming from the sacred tree. "Is that you?"
"Inuyasha?" I asked. I knew, I knew in my heart, he was there, back in the feudal era, still right next to the tree.
"How are you?" I asked. "Are you ok?"
"Don't worry," Came his reply, "This is nothing." A part of me smiled to hear that he was all right.
"I'm kinda surprised you're not here." He said. My heart clenched.
"I…can't come back." I said quietly. I heard him chuckle slightly.
"Got scared did ya?"
He asked.
"No! I just…I…" I was at a loss for words, the
memory of Kikyo pushing me into the well, kissing Inuyasha; they
played in my head like a memory thriving to kill me.
"You what?" Inuyasha asked gently. I shook my head.
"Never mind," I said quietly. "You're right, maybe I ran away."
"Stupid," He chuckled. "You'll never change." Ok, that just made me a little angry.
"What do ya mean 'stupid'!" I shouted. All of the sudden, I was in front of him. I could see him, his head was tilted slightly to the left, and his golden eyes were closed. His silver hair hung over his shoulders, but just as my heart told me, he was sitting against the tree.
"Inuyasha?" I gasped. He looked up and his golden eyes glimmered at my chocolate ones as he smiled softly.
"Oh, hey, you are here Kagome." He said. We were silent, just staring at each other for a second, and then he asked. "So, what have you been worrying about?"
I sighed and looked down at the snow, my hand clamped over the sacred jewel shards.
"I just feel so helpless, I even ended up hurting you, Inuyasha." I said. "I thought you'd be better off without me around." I looked up when I heard Inuyasha grunt and his clothes rustle.
"Would you stop going on like that?" He said, he was standing and attempting to walk to me. I ran to him and held him back.
"Inuyasha! Don't move, you'll open your wounds." I said. Then he did something that shocked me. He grabbed my arms and pulled me to him. He wrapped his arms around me in a tight, yet gentle embrace and said into my ear.
"I need you with me, Kagome, haven't you realized that yet?" My eyes watered. He said he needed me. Me. He didn't say 'I need you with me Kikyo', not 'I need you with me.' He said 'I need you with me Kagome' No one else. I pushed my face in his shoulder as a sob wracked my body. I wanted to tell him, I wanted to tell him that I love him. That he means everything to me, that I want to be by his side until my dieing breath. But I couldn't, so I said something just as good.
"Thank you."
Suddenly my surroundings changed. Even though I was still filled with the warmth that felt like Inuyasha, My hand was back on the tree, and I could faintly hear my grandpa chanting. But most of all I heard Inuyasha's voice.
"Come on back Kagome."
I smiled and nodded my head once. Ready to go back to My Inuyasha.
