It was a quiet, calm night and therefore, the Captain only required one man up on deck with him. Jack stood at the helm, gazing up at the moon and not aware that Will was staring at him as he approached. He looked at the young man, smiling.
"Nice night," Will commented quietly, leaning against the Black Pearl's railing.
Jack nodded in agreement, adjusting the angle of the wheel and murmuring, "Come here, luv – keep an old pirate company."
The blacksmith smiled, making his way over to Jack and standing behind him, wrapping his arms around his waist and mumbling, "You're not old, Jack…"
He pressed his chest against Jack's back and rested his chin on Jack's shoulder, enjoying the way his lover relaxed into his touch and turned his head slightly to kiss his cheek. Jack let his guard down only at times like those, in front of Will, the only person who was able to draw him out from behind the curtains.
Will's hands traveled to the buckle on Jack's cutlass, and he slowly slid it off the man's body, carefully putting it on the deck before sliding both hands under Jack's shirt. The skin was warm and soft against his fingers, and he loved the way Jack sighed gently and placed his own hands atop his.
"When does your watch end for tonight?" Will whispered against Jack's ear.
"It won't be long," the pirate replied quietly, contently leaning against his lover's chest as his fingers traced lazy patterns across his stomach.
"We can have some alone time in the cabin…" Will mumbled, placing a kiss just under his lover's ear.
The wind had picked up a little bit by now, and Jack said, "Aye, we can… Go inside now, I don't want you getting chilled out here."
Will smiled, then kissed Jack's lips softly, and Jack felt himself melting into it before he gently pulled away and breathed, "Off with you now…"
The young man bestowed one final kiss to his lover's neck before saying goodbye and going below deck, leaving Jack alone to steer his beloved ship. He looked up at the stars, content. All was well for the night.
