Megan the Matchmaker
Megan goes by many names. To her mom and Walter she's "Megan", or "Sweetie". Drake and Josh know her by several names, "Devious", "Demon Child", Little Girl", and "Evil" among them. Those looking for weapons of mass destruction are welcome to contact her at AtomicBombs4Uaol . com- Hey she has to fund her expensive technological purchases somehow. The one identity that she does keep hidden is that of "Megan the Matchmaker".
She will deny it until her dying day, but ultimately she just wants her brothers to be happy. It is clear to her that they are at their happiest together, so she strives to keep them that way. The two boobs are in love, but much to Megan's chagrin they haven't realized it yet. She doesn't know why but she's taken it upon herself to repair their relationship whenever one of them (most likely Drake) screws it up. It probably has something to do with the fact that Drake tends to cling to her when Josh throws him into the proverbial doghouse. Drake can only ask her how old she is so many times before she's tempted to throw him in front of a bus.
Josh, on the other hand, is more difficult to approach after he's had a fight with Drake. Megan compares it to diffusing a bomb, which she's done several times before, actually. Depending on the fight they've had, she might prefer the bomb. If she wanted to analyze the situation, Megan would equate Josh's extreme reactions to his incredibly long fuse. It take a lot to upset Josh, but once you've sent him over the edge, don't expect him to bounce back like a rubber band.
Over the past several years, Megan has been there to fix Drake and Josh's relationship behind the scenes, and she's been doing it from the very beginning. First exposing Drake's cheating girlfriend Susan for the deceitful flirt she was and then effectively showing both Drake and Josh that they are irreplaceable to one another, no matter how many years Drew had been playing the saxophone or whether or not Jerry loved magic just as much as Josh. That was probably the most important lesson she's taught them to date, and yet despite their obvious displays of jealousy during the Drew and Jerry debacle, the two remain in the dark as to the true nature of their feelings for each other. Idiots.
Megan's biggest challenge to date has come in the form of Mindy Crenshaw. The funny thing is, Megan likes Mindy, she really does, but Mindy is a monkey wrench in Megan's design. Mindy is physical, living, breathing evidence for the cold, hard truth that Josh can do better than Drake. Megan knows it. Drake knows it. And unfortunately, even Josh knows it. Despite that unpleasant fact, Megan still roots for Drake and Josh because the fact that Josh knows he can do better and still chooses to spend all of his free time with Drake means something. The boobs may not realize it now but one day they will. Until that day comes, Megan will just have to keep playing matchmaker.
