Suna Sky
No matter where you were at any time of the day, you could see the sky. Clear and endless during the day, mysterious and dark in the night. It was simply beautiful, nothing else could describe it. The beauty is what drew the young ninja to the desert. That among other things, but the sky was what she liked most. Not only for its beauty, but because she knew that was the one thing that would never change in her life. Wherever she went the sky would always be the same and those she left behind would always look up at the same sky she did.
About a year ago, she had looked up into the sky and had realized she was in love. She was in love with the sand of the desert, Suna, and the man who had power over it all. She just looked up and suddenly everything made sense. It was as if she knew how everything in the world worked and what was important in life.
Now she looked up into the sky again and realized something else. She was happy. After twenty one years of seeing death and witnessing the horrors of war. She was finally at peace. She felt no guilt, and had no regrets. She had a beautiful place to live and two people who she loved more than anything. Soon to be three, she thought as she looked down and placed a hand on her stomach. She glanced over at her son, playing in the sandbox. She thought of how much he looked like his father with his red hair and stubborn face, but he had her eyes. And then she closed her eyes and lifted her face to the sun. She felt the slightest breeze of desert air and the gentle touch of grainy sand on her skin. When she opened her eyes, her husband was standing next to her, watching. He moved to put an arm around her and began to stroke the pink locks of her hair. He looked over at the sandbox and then he smiled. She smiled, and looked up into the sky again and said thank you.
Just a little one shot, I know it's not much sorry. Sakura thinking about Gaara and the life they have made together. Hope you liked it. Please review!!
