Warnings: Season 3 No Rest for the Wicked. Dean's thoughts moments before the hellhound arrives, while Lilith has him pinned to that table.
Something Bobby forgot to mention, about being close to the veil. Not only can you see what lies beneath – you can smell it too.
Worse than raw sewage, worse than dead bodies (and he's smelt enough of those), worse than a whole heap of frightened skunks - Lilith reeked. That, more than the horror that was her face, should have told him this was not Ruby.
Dean gagged, but terror stopped his mouth. He knew once his lips parted, he wouldn't stop screaming, and he couldn't have that. He couldn't let Sammy see just how scared he really was.
"Siccem boys…"
