The soft wind
Blows through the trees
The tears fall freely
Whisked away by a soft ocean breeze
The fire of his soul
Lives on
I can hear him now
Voice like the dawn
The softness of waves
The gentleness of his voice
He healed lives
So we could rejoice
Kindness, friendliness
The large chef cat
I shall miss him
I wish I could go to where he is at
Her soft blue eyes
The love for life
For laughter and others
She lived in strife
I sigh and twirl
A wisp of smoky brown hair
Letting the saltine tears
Fall into the humid air
They sacrificed so much
I did nothing
My life is nothing compared to them
The hurt still stings
One day I'll join them
In the heavens above
But for now, I rejoice
For those free, like the dove
I turn away from the red-orange sunset
And start my long trek to the light
Wiping more tears from my eyes
And disappearing into thenight
