Indara and Ashura watched as the bodies they had most recently resided in passed away within hours of each-other. Their most recent lives which they remembered as they remembered Hashirama and Madara's lives up to the point of their deaths and dozens of lives before that had come to a natural end, which was highly unusual for Shinobi. But, Sasuke and Naruto who'd fought to find a middle way had been amongst the last of the old shinobi and the start of something new. Something that had changed the world completely.
While it hadn't ended all conflict, there had not been a war on the scale of the Shinobi World Wars since the Fourth, and it looked like the relative peace would continue for centuries after the deaths of the ones who'd brought it about.
"Hmmm." Ashura hmmmed when an idea seemed to hit him as he and his older brother Indira prepared to start a new life. A new life that would hopefully be a better one now that they weren't eternally fighting.
"What?" Indara asked, just knowing that Ashura was getting one of those ideas that always landed them in trouble.
"You know that whole science thing that says there are other worlds out there?" Ashura asked.
"...Yes." Indara replied, almost dreading what was coming next because Ashura and his vessels were always coming up with insane ideas.
"I was wondering if we were just limited to this planet here." Ashura said.
"Good question." Indara finally stated after thinking it over.
A countless amount of time which could've been months or could've been aeons later:
Indara opened his eyes for the first time again. The world he was on seemed to be acceptable. Closing his eyes with the knowledge that his being Indira would fade and his new life would take over, Indira went to sleep.
As he slept, a king picked his newborn son up and held him for the first time. Holding the child who was fated by blood and birth to be amongst the strongest of the elite, he found that he loved the boy and was willing to do whatever it took to see him grow to adulthood and eventually take his place when the time came.
About a decade later:
Ashura opened his eyes for the first time again. The world was loud and strange and smelled funny. He opened his mouth and proved to the universe at large that his lungs worked. A strange looking lizard-person with a shock of orange hair chuckled as he picked him up.
"Welcome to the world Kakarot." the creature said as he carried him towards what may have been a nursery.
