Goodbye- A Koorime Twins One Shot

Disclaimer: I don't own YYH.

A/N: First off, I'd like to dedicate this to my beta reader and almost twin, Mel. Thanks for putting up with me for the past two weeks. Here's to many more weeks!

Also, this might be a tear-jerker…I don't know. So have tissues ready just in case.

A woman stood on the roof of a tall building, looking out at the darkened city below. Raindrops began to fall, as did her tears. A breeze picked up and blew strands of her aquamarine hair into her face. She sobbed quietly as she brushed them away, not noticing a taller woman come up behind her.

"Yukina-chan? Are you alright?" The woman, named Botan, looked worried. Her usual cheerful expression had left her face and was replaced by a concerned look.

"I'll be fine, Botan-chan," she replied. "He's in a better place now."

"Hai, that is true." Botan sighed and leaned against the railing before continuing.

"Ano... Yukina-chan, Hiei-san wanted to tell you something before he went on, but seeing how he wasn't able to do so, he asked me, of all people, to tell you this."

"What is it, Botan-chan?" The Koorime was interested in what the man who was like a brother to her could have wanted to tell her.

The ferry girl took a deep breath and attempted to resume her little speech.

"Err..." Why of all people did he choose her to tell Yukina?

"Hn, baka onna, because I knew how funny it would be to see you mess up."

Great. Now she was hearing things. She must really be overcome with grief for her deceased friend. Botan shook her head and walked back inside, questioning her sanity.

Yukina gasped. "Nii-san?" She turned around in time to see a figure come out of the shadows.

Hiei smirked. So she had figured it out. He was glad, for he could now rest in peace. "Goodbye, sister," he said before he vanished into the night.

"Goodbye, brother," she whispered in reply, the tears flowing freely now. The gems clicked quietly on the pavement below, in perfect rhythm with the raindrops falling from the dark clouds that obstructed the view of the starry, starry sky.

End.

A/N: My first One-Shot! Yes, I know it's short; it was originally going to be a drabble. But…my muses got to work. So now, it's a short one shot.

Don't forget about Mr. Button down there! Make an authoress happy and click him, okay?
