Chapter 1 - Prologue
My name is Rose Tyler. My life was normal until I met a man called the Doctor. We battled Autons and Krillitanes, Werewolves and Cat Nuns, Slitheen and Clockwork Robots. I thought it would never end. That's what I thought. That was before we found Torchwood, and before the clashing of the metal gods. The Daleks and the Cybermen, bronze and silver monsters, fighting it out for the Earth. And me and the Doctor were trapped in between. But he had a plan. He always did. He was going to open the Void (the empty space between two parallel worlds) and they would be sucked in. But so would we. So he was going to send me to somewhere safe. A parallel Earth, with my family. That meant I'd never see him again. So I stayed. I nearly got sucked into the Void but my Dad (from another world) saved me. Now I live here. In London. With Mum and Dad and Mickey and the new baby Joe. I've got a new life and a new job at this world's Torchwood. This is my story…
