Summary: Perhaps it's someone idea of a joke, but opening his eyes as a Titan in the world of Shingeki no Kyojin was just not funny.

The fifteen-meter Titan stares down at him. He stares back evenly, showing nothing on his face. The Scouting Legion is tense at his back ready to attack at the slightest sign of movement, but confusion is evident.
He could see Hanji going into raptures in the corner of his eye.
The Titan is watching him with curious eyes but does nothing. It makes no move to try and eat the humans in front of it or any movement at all. Erwin has come across many things in the expeditions, but never has Titan ignored a human. It did opposite, if anything.
So why wasn't this one doing the same?
"Major Hanji! What are you doing?!"
"Hanji! Come back!"
Erwin turns in time to see Hanji racing to where the Titan is sitting.
Hanji smiles delightedly and shouts up to the Titan. "Hey, big guy! What's your name? I'm Hanji!"
Erwin internally curses her. Suicidal idiot. The Major's enthusiasm is invaluable but it's clear that it is going to be her undoing one day. Erwin tenses. Should the Titan do something he was the closest to react-
A rumbling chuckle rings outs. Erwin can feel his eyes widen despite himself.
The Titan is laughing.
It tilts it's head and looks at Hanji(who is beside herself with excitement because a titan had just laughed and oh my god it's not attacking-) with amusement in its eyes. A giant finger extends towards her and everyone tenses up to attack except before anyone could do anything Hanji has already taken the finger in her hand and started shaking it.
The Titan nods its head towards the rest of the Scouting Legion. The intent behind the gesture is unmistakable.

Hanji is just as Titan-loving as she's portrayed in the anime, he thinks. The woman in question is climbing up his knee and leg despite all the protests coming from behind her. He doesn't do anything. It's been a long time since he had human interaction and he's terribly lonely.
Besides, it wouldn't do to be killed by Levi because he attacked one of his comrades. He can see the Captain holding his blades to kill him at the first sign of aggression nearby, not to mention the numerous soldiers of the Scouting Legion standing right behind him. He's not suicidal anymore, thank you very much.
He turns his head when a panting out of the woods and into the large clearing he made. The soldiers start shouting and some of them take to the trees and heads towards it while most stay on the ground to protect the wagons. He gently picks up Hanji and sets her back on the ground, ignoring the Erwin had tensed up the moment he did so.
He stands up and runs toward the titan intruding on to his territory. The momentum sends him crashing through it and the body erupts blood everywhere.
Damn. He has blood covering himself all over now. Not exactly a good first impression to humans, never mind he did it for them. He's probably going to die.
