Sarah. For 19 years this was her name. But no more . Today was the day that Sarah died. It had been eleven months since she escaped from the Latnok facility, from Adam. She couldn't stay anymore. Not even for him. Not after she found out what they were planning to do.
She had spent her whole life in controlled environment. From the lab, to the Latnok facility, even in the university she was constantly monitored ,tested . She hated it. Every minute of it . She wanted to be free, to live life to the fullest, to explore her abilities, to meet new people, to be with Adam without someone peeking over their shoulder and making a note of their every move. For a while she had that. Their friend Brian helped them sneak out of the facility and the university and visit a small restaurant near the forest. Those were probably the best moments in her life
But despite the joy she felt from this she was still ready to stay in her cage. Because of Adam . No matter how much she tried to convince him he felt that it was his responsibility to be a lab rat. So he could help the precious Latnok society. And she couldn't leave him. He was the only one who understood her.
But this was all over now. She asked him, begged him to come away with her after she discovered the plans for Zzyzx. The thought of condemning their children to the same prison was awful. But once again he sided with Latnok. He kept believing that it was all for the greater good. That their children would be, a great help to the world. She still remembered hitting him. When she heard this betrayal she couldn't control her herself anymore. She lashed out in anger not only with fists but with her mind as well. As Adam fell unconscious to the ground the lights in whole complex exploded. It took a lot out of her but she didn't even feel pain. Her anger was too strong for this. She took out the guards and the large computer which covered the two rooms. And then she ran, she ran like never before
It was not hard for someone with her intelligence to find money and shelter in the outside world. But it was harder to evade Latnok. They seemed to be everywhere. So she decided to find a more so to say extreme way of hiding. She started with the basics, changing her hair color, her accent. Then she started intense training sessions to change the shape of her body. And finally came the most painful part. Four plastic surgeries which would change her face forever. Today she was taking the gauze off. The final operation was completed. Her new face, her new life was going to be revealed today
And she was happy with the result. Even she couldn't recognize herself. Now there was only one thing left. Picking a name . This was a harder choice. But in the end she settled on her favourite fictional character. Alice. She had fond memories of this book
Now with a new face and a new name she could began her new life. She started traveling the country , she explored almost all states until she finally made her home in L.A.. Not wanting to draw attention to herself she decided to find a regular job. One ad caught her eye. She smiled. She remembered how much Latnok hated this company. She knew it was petty but she decided to go for it. After all how bad could it be to work as a security specialist in the Umbrella Corporation ?
