Chapter One- NICO

As Nico turned around the circle of his friends, he was overwhelmed at now having to say goodbye. 'Are you ready yet Nico?' Reyna asked him. 'We'd better leave soon.' Nico didn't want to leave Hazel. After all, he was her only brother. Hazel, seeing the distressed look on his face, said 'It'll be OK. You'll see every one again soon.'

'Ready yet cupcakes?'Coach Hedge's loud voice interrupted their thoughts.

'Goodbye and good luck on your quest.' Said Nico

'Farewell and good luck.' Reyna said.

'See ya cupcakes. I'm gonna see my baby. Uh. I mean I'm gonna get this baby to camp.' Coach Hedge said impatiently. As Reyna and Nico walked over to the Athena Parthenos, Nico stole a quick glance and saw Frank comforting a sad Hazel. Let's just hope we make it in time for all our sakes Nico thought.

Shadow Travel never gets easier no matter how many times you do it. It's just easier to go little bits at a time which Nico didn't have time for. He pictured a grassy paddock in France. It would use up all his energy for sure. They were there soon enough. Nico's eyes closed and he fell to the ground. 'Don't worry cupcake. Reyna will have dinner ready by the time you wake up.' Coach Hedge said. Nico didn't care. He was dreading the nightmare about to invade his mind. He dreamed of being in North America. He was in a cafe with his table overlooking the road. As he watched, he was expecting giant monsters to come running around the corner yelling 'DIE!' swinging giant baseball bats. No he'd been around Coach Hedge too long. What Nico wasn't expecting to see was a dozen or more black SUV's speeding down the road. They're in a hurry, he thought. Then it dawned on him. Nico looked up. Six giant eagles were flying overhead. And they were headed straight for Camp Half-Blood. Not good.
