The day that I met you, my heart skipped a beat:
Seeing you sitting there looking so sweet.
There was an air around you, something I knew,
Could it be that you felt the same way to?
I wanted to talk to you but I was too shy,
I can't believe I almost let you pass by.
Your smile was so perfect, it took my breath away.
Your eyes were so deep I couldn't help but stare.
Then you started walking towards me and I couldn't help but wonder why,
And angel was gracing my presence.
Through my mind ran a million questions, had he seen me staring? What am I going to say? Did he know he took my breath away?
Maybe we will be friends we will see:
All I knew was that you were pretty amazing,
As amazing as can be.
We started to become friends and so much more:
You were the one I knew would always be there for me.
When you left my heart felt dead,
What would have happened if you had stayed?
When you came back my life would never be the same,
I can now say I fell in love with my best friend.
People always told me how important it was to marry my friend;
And I know they were wise.
For today I will marry my friend,
And nothing could be more right.
