Legend of Zelda (Zelink) Fanfiction
I've wanted to write something like this for a long time! I hope that if you review this, you can write positive critiques that can forward my writing career!
Link is just an average trainee at Camp Eventide, the traditional knight camp. Link was always the center of attention, being the jokester and all. He always enjoyed making jokes, humoring some younger students, and eating. Whenever he had the chance for a meal, he would grab at least five dishes in order to feel full. But, not anymore.
"Link! Guess what?" Ines shouted from across the room.
"Whot?" He replied, his face stuffed with food.
"They're going to finally choose someone to wield the Master Sword!"
Link gulped. Has the day finally come? I knew that the day had finally come, but did it have to be today?Link looked around the room nervously. Did anyone else know about how much pressure he was under?
Of course, he wasn't the only one. Bo and Jonas were also chosen to try and wield the Master Sword.
The headmaster, with his long, winding beard and red velvet robes, walked up to the three just as they finished training.
"A word with you all, if I may."
They all followed him on the path that led to a small hut. In there was someone the trio was surprised with. With his long, white beard and royal blue outfit, it was unmistaken. THE KING OF HYRULE is in here!
"Ah, so these are the top three students!" King Rhoam said, smiling.
The younger ones bowed almost immediately. But the king asked them to stand back up.
"Yes," The headmaster replied," The one on the far left is Bo, intelligent in academy, yet lacking in physical assets."
The small one cringed at those last words. Bo did not like being called weak.
"But, the one in the middle is the opposite. Jonas exceeds in physical training but lacks proper intelligence."
The middle one, who was inches taller than Link, glared at the headmaster. Sure, he just barely meets average, but the fact that he was called stupid was unnecessary.
"And last but not least, Link."
Link's posture went from lacking to proper the second his name was called.
"Link excels in both Academy AND training. He always comes in first or second. But, that's not all."
The headmaster walks behind them and places a hand on Link. Link could feel the unwelcoming glare from Jonas.
"He can make the entire academy laugh because of his outstanding humor!"
Link was incredibly flustered by the statement. Of course, he's funny, but the headmaster is overstating it a little bit.
"Do you think he might be able to make the princess smile?" King Rhoam asked grimly.
What? What does he mean by that? Link pondered.
"Most definitely!" The headmaster replied with a laugh.
At last, the king sighed and smiled. "I am happy to say that I hope that the Master Sword choses either one of you."
After a few moments, the headmaster released the students.
