The sky was filled with black roiling clouds which echoed with roars of enraged thunder then flashed with arcs of lightning that illuminated the ally for a very short couple of seconds. The rain came in slowly, but quickened immediately, the constant downpour drowning out the sounds of the locust Extermination squad moving to flank the retreating humans.
Raiz stopped just before the ally's mouth signaling for the rest to hault their movement. "Ball, Skaam forward." He said in his deep gnarled voice; with his left arm extended and pointing to a destroyed human car.
The two Drones rushing off lancers in hand, to hide behind the dismantled vehicle.
Not a second after the two were hidden behind it, did the sounds of explosions and gunfire erupt around the street corner, with that the paniced screams of humans in an all out retreat.
Raiz let out a low chuckle taking joy from their pained sounds.
"samoson's down!" The flashes of their weapons blinking in the distance like fireflies at night. "They're on the left side!"
"They're everywhere, Pines!" The same strained voice came again. "Oh fuck, Boomer!" A massive clap blasted through the rain's onslaught as the Boomshot's explosive round collided with one of the Gears, the remaining two dove around the street corner taking cover behind an overturned dumpster. They held their fire as the other Locust squads kept them pinned with constant suppressive fire. In an instant one of the humans was pelted with Lancer fire from Raiz's Drones and fell to the ground in a bleeding mess, instinct or sheer luck saved the last member of the squad as it rolled behind two collided cars so it was blocked off so neither the other locust or Raiz's two Drones could get a shot, though they all continued to fire on its position.
"Suck shit and die grub!" A streak of light blasted from behind the cars to blow apart the head of a Drone firing on it from the other car. "Haha!"
Raiz grit his teeth and clenched the grip of his shotgun, looking aound the corner for a few seconds before rushing out to meet this ground walker in the open. He slid up to the cars, then ran around them so he was right in front of it, firing off his shotgun twice sending shrapnel into its armour; the human rolled to Raiz's left and he reloaded the missing two shells. Cocking the pump action handle just right to ignite the wepons ammo by flint nd he once more fired into the C.O.G soldier, the heated rounds burning right through its armour. The human fell to the ground and tried to crawl to his knees while the rain pouring down was causing bits of steam to rise up from the droplets hitting the scorched armour and seared flesh of the Gear. The pathetic human was crawling towards a puddle with a frag grenade laying half in it. Raiz growled loudly and moved to the puddle where the grenade lay, kicking it aside he pressed the barrel of his shotgun against the Gear's helmet, before letting out a horrendously, bloodthirsty roar and blowing the humans skull to microscopic fragments. "For the Horde!"
