What Draco Malfoy Thinks Of Hermione Granger

The Slytherin common room was all but empty and very dimly lit as a lone student sat in the far corner, a scowl donning his pale face. It was well past midnight and every other Slytherin had since retired for the evening, but not he. Draco had a bee in his bonnet; a very large, flat chested, know-it-all, mudblood bee. Anger filtered through to his very core just thinking about her; something he tried to do as little of as possible. But tonight he could not keep the Gryffindor harpy out of his well sculpted mind. He was angry. No! Not angry he was furious. His scowl deepened. It was all her fault!

The day had not panned out how Draco would have liked; in fact it was the complete opposite. Not only had that insufferable know-it-all taken the top transfiguration grade when it was so close to being his, but she had been superior in potions as well! Then when he decided it was in everyone's best interest that he bring up to the class that it was a 'fluke' and that he was more deserving of the grade. She laughed at him. Laughed! That stupid bint didn't even deserve to breathe in the same room as him. Yet she took long labouring breaths just to show him how disrespectful she was.

Hermione Granger was a waste of space. Draco now new what he needed to do, He was going to put her in her rightful place. Show her that she slotted in just below house elves and mucus. Surely she would see the error of her ways after being set straight. After all, mudbloods couldn't have a capacity for right and wrong. That is where they got into this mess in the first place. Yes, Hermione Granger would be informed of her wrongs and Draco could continue to be king of Hogwarts.

It was a grand plan.

Retreating to his chambers, Draco found his parchment and quill and began to write a letter to the 'mudblood' outlining all the reasons she was scum and what needed to be done about it; how she was not meant to speak unless spoken to and that she should be the one serving house elves. After adding a few choice words for effect, he rolled the scroll up and gave it to his owl. She would not reply if she knew what was good for her.

Happy with what he had accomplished, the young man undressed and crawled onto his plush mattress waiting for slumber to claim him. It happened quickly, but was not meant to last as a mere ten minutes later he was jolted awake by his owl with a return letter.

"Stupid bint!" He whispered into thin air, grabbing the parchment and unrolling it.

Reading over the scroll once, his mouth fell open slightly. This could not be! He read it again.

Yes. It certainly was.

Draco growled outwardly, scrunching up the paper in his hand violently. Hurling the tattered parchment towards the roaring fire he threw himself back onto his bed determined to get some beauty sleep and worry about the wretch in the morning. Clamping his grey eyes shut as hard as he could, he could not stop thinking about her message. It was burned into his skull.

She didn't even have the respect to write a new letter. She had merely crossed out what he had written (quite violently it had seemed), and scrawled five words under his with uncaring script.

"You're a dick, Draco Malfoy"

Draco found that he hated her.
Hermione Granger would pay.

She would pay dearly.
