My feet make the only noise here as they amble through the night. Ron wouldn't understand, so I'll keep this to myself. There's a crescent moon tonight, shining just brightly enough for me to find the stone with your name on it.

Life works in mysterious ways. You never think you'll miss the one you hate until you do. Who'd have thought you were a part of me? There must be someplace in human hearts for enemies. I certainly never dreamed of wanting you back the way I do.

We never exchanged niceties, only insults. But here in the dark, I want your reassuring smirk to let me know that life is alright. That's how it was meant to be.

I was never supposed to watch you die at only seventeen. You shouldn't have seen so much of life that death gave you that peace. The flash of green, the collapse of what seemed so evil. You fell to the ground in your own sweet release. Only later did I discover the tears running down my cheeks. I shouldn't have been the one to take your life away.

I can't tell a dead man that I'm sorry, even if that's all I want to say.
