This is what I think might have been going through Roxas's head at the end of the secret ending from KH Birth By Sleep. Can't wait for the next one! Review please!

After all he had gone through; a happy ending had seemed like the last thing he would receive.

Yet, floating in the light that was his Somebody's heart, he was happy. He hadn't felt so complete for as long as he could remember, from the moment he received the Organization's signature black coat and the name Roxas to when he had faced the boy whose heart he now resided within. Part of him, able to influence his power and see through his eyes, but still a separate soul, with new memories and experiences.

There were those times when he wished more than anything to be his own person. He wanted to actually meet Hayner, Pence, and Olette; to go to the beach and hang out in the Usual Place. He wanted to eat sea-salt ice cream at the top of the clock tower with Axel again. He wanted more than everything to pull himself from the stain glass platform and destroy every heartless that ever threatened his Somebody whenever Sora had to face down an army of roiling black alone. He felt oddly overprotective of Sora, even though he knew the boy could handle the heartless easily. It was strange how much he cared about the boy after all the hatred he had felt towards him before.

But it was almost relaxing to fade into the happiness that defined Sora, to know that he was completely whole. To know that, come hell or high water, there was always a place he could retreat to when it was too hard to be Roxas, too hard to watch through his own eyes the darkness that seemed to always trouble the keyblade master.

But he was happy now, watching through Sora's eyes as he walked along the beach with Kairi and Riku. Kairi suddenly dashed into the water, reaching down to retrieve a bottle with a note inside. The king's familiar seal peeped through the dirty glass, and Roxas felt his heart clench for a moment.

It was beginning again.

I wanted to tell you right away,

About memories from the past that sleep within you,

And about the pieces that will tie you to your future.

Sora, Riku, Kairi,

the truth behind the Keyblade,

has found its way through so many people,

and now I know that it rests in your hearts.

Sora,

you are who you are because of those people, but they're hurting,

and you're the only one who can end their sadness. They need you.

It's possible that all your journeys so far,

have been preparing you for this great new task that's waiting for you.

I should have known there were no coincidences, only links in a much larger chain of events.

And now the door to your next journey is ready to be opened.

Roxas wanted to cry, scream, bash in a thousand heartless until they would just leave the people he loved alone, he sulked for an indeterminate amount of time, he told himself he didn't care anymore. But he did. He cared so much.

He was just going to have to protect Sora this time around and hope he didn't end up loosing him for good.
