"Bye, see you later!" Anthony called as he shut the door to Kalel's apartment.

Finally. Fucking finally.

Living away from Anthony has done wonders for Kalel. So much alone time… so many possibilities… No more waiting for Anthony to leave the house. She had her own place now. Her own rules. And somehow, Ian made his way into the picture.

Now, she knew this was wrong. Ian did, too. But did they care?

Not one bit.

The dial tone rang as Kalel waited for Ian to pick up the phone.

"Hello?"

"The coast is clear."

"Right now?"

"Hell yeah."

Kalel sat on her bed with a smile and waited.

The doorbell rang about 10 minutes later. Buki runs to the door and Kalel pushes her back. An open door reveals Ian.

"Come on, in!" Kalel says sweetly. Ian walks through the door and closes it behind him. Without warning, he grabs Kalel by the waist, turns her around, and pins her against the wall with a kiss. Her hands move up to his hair. Fingers: clench, release. Clench, release. The normal routine.

As they get into a rhythm, the obnoxious scream of Kalel's phone rings through the apartment. They break apart and Kalel goes to pick it up. Her face turns white.

"It's Anthony," she whispers before pressing the answer button.

"He-hello?"

"Hey, babe, I think I left my sunglasses at your place. I'm coming back to get them, alright?"

"Uh- oh, okay."

"You alright?"

"Yeah," Kalel says, slightly out of breath. Ian gives her a worried glare from across the room.

"K. See you soon."

"Bye," Kalel mutters.

Kalel turns to Ian. "Anthony said-"

"Yeah, I heard," interrupts Ian, his disappointment obvious in his voice.

"Until next time?"

"Until next time."

Ian walks out the front door and drives off, leaving Kalel waiting once again.
