He is a lost being who has gone hardships of life and finally decides to give up. The he realizes that he has her. But then by that time, might it be too late? Natsume x Mikan May contain Major OOC.

A Kiss In The Rain

A gun for your thoughts.

A knife for your trust.

A soul for your heart.

What words are being said,

Such violence as one has ever heard.

Such pain as one could ever feel.

And in this we relate a story,

By which a cold soul finds a shelter.

A shelter to keep you away from the rain.

A shelter to warm you when you're cold.

And a shelter to love you when numb.

We may say that these words bring fire to our hearts.

But what if suddenly the fireplace runs out,

Or the place you've grown up with lies before you now, lying restless against the soil.

So many days we drown in pain,

So many days we forgot the world of which we forgot to notice.

And so we move on,

Despite the pain.

Despite the sorrow.

Despite the memories.

And so here we are again

Standing still in the rain.

Crying amidst the middle of the street,

Looking into nothingness,

Turning what was once a numb soul back to itself once more.

But when we start to think,

Why did I never see?

Why did I never feel?

That I wasn't alone.

I just never took time,

Time to notice,

That she was always beside me.

Every moment, every second, every hour.

Sharing each joy wth me.

And so as I realize this,

I never noticed

Tragedy hit me.

It took me.

It finished me.

It killed me.

Now all I can see are roses.

Petals of roses that brought and reminded me of all the things that happened.

And in here we end,

What was once a cold soul drowning in sadness,

Now a newfound being open to all things good and new.
