The Girl Who Can't cry.
She was too young, when she lost her mother. The sweetest and brightest sunshine ever. On that fateful day, she was crying, like the rest of her family. Then, with father like Isshin Kurosaki who if given chances would build another Taj Mahal just to worship his late wife, a brother who hide everything and a sensitive softer twin sister, she was forced to grow up faster.
She swears to never cry again, even when she broke her arm in a soccer tournaments, or when the old lady she used to visit with Toshiro, passed away. She wouldn't cry, as she believed crying is a sign of weakness. She was far from weak.
Somehow with her tight schedule of training (both soccers and shinigami), she managed to enter medical college, together with her twin.
Then one day, their brother Ichigo asked them to return as he had an important announcement to make.
"I'm marrying Inoe."
"Who?" Asked the father cheekily.
Never in her life, saw her only brother blushed heavily.
"Orihime Inoe."
Their father jumped to the gigantic poster of their late mother and cried, "O Masaki dear, our son have grown up! He will bring my other daughter to this permanent home!"
When Ichigo and Isshin started to bicker, she asked, "When will be the wedding?"
Suddenly, everything turned to mellow. The excitement on Isshin face, change to bitter. Her twin was sobbing. She was boiling hot. "What the ! #$ Ichigo! How could you choose that day?"
"What's wrong?" Although he was great in battle, Ichigo struggled with words. Often, his good intentions mistaken by others. To finally pops up the questions to Orihime was also a miracle.
Before Ichigo could find a word to explain, he was punched by the short tempered sister. "Go to hell, Ichigo!" The toughest of the twin finally broke. The one who vowed to not shed any tears, was crying.
As stubborn as ever, Ichigo stood to his decisions that resulted him to be his sister's punch bag. Multiple time. And she doesn't care, if the wedding guests would question the groom's blue face. (As if Orihime can't fix it)
Few days from the wedding, her future sister in law, called, "Can we meet?"
Some people might mistaken Orihime Inoe as an airhead, but she was more intelligent than credited. She was falling in love with some orange hair delinquent turned to hero since middle school. She aware about the chosen date as she saw every year, the said delinquent turned fragile on that date. She also knew how bad her fiancé to talk his feeling and emotions.
"He knew you would disagree with him, but for the family to move forwards, he like to overwrite the sad memories with a happier occasions. This doesn't mean he want to erase your love to Masaki. It just he taught, your mother would be happier if her family remembered her by the sweetest moment."
The middle Kurosaki couldn't be more agree with Orihime. She finally gave in.
On the wedding day, she surprisingly didn't need to hide, crying to herself and wearing heavy make up to cover her eye bags. There, the whole family welcoming their new member with bright smile. The date usually celebrated with sorrows turned festive. Everyone come to congratulate Ichigo and Orihime. Isshin with a bitter sweet smile stood beside Masaki gigantic new poster, printed just for the event.
After the wedding, they went to visit Masaki's grave. Isshin with his yearly routine of smoking. Ichigo introduce his new bride. The twins talking about their schools. A tradition they carried every year.
This year, no one crying.
