It's the First Day of School…
Hermione, Harry, Ron, Ginny and Neville are walking to their first class of the day, Potions.
"So, now that Snape is gone, I bet you guys ten gallons that Slughorn will be a better Potions professor." Ron said.
"Well, yeah. Snape scared me to hell." Neville said.
"Yeah, we all know. Snape was your boggart in third grade." Harry laughed.
"You guys are so heartless! Snape still taught us a lot of things!" Hermione exclaimed.
"Oh, come on Hermione!" Ron said. They suddenly stopped walking.
"Okay, let's go in." Hermione said and they pushed opened the door. They chose the seats in the back and waited for Slughorn. Suddenly, in came the jerks. Malfoy, Zabini, Goyle, Parkinson, Greengrass and Nott. They chose the seats in the front like they always do. After them came Slughorn.
"Good morning class." Slughorn said once he closed the door.
"Good morning Professor Slughorn." The class said.
"Today, we're going to brew a love potion. Does anyone know the specific name for this?' Sluhorn asked. Hermione's hand shot up immediately.
"Yes, Miss Granger?"
"It's called Amortentia."
"Correct. Five points to Gryffindor." Slughorn said, "Now let's do this in pairs."
Students moved into groups instantly.
"Wait, I'm going to pair you guys up." Slughorn said, "Weasley boy and Parkinson, Potter and Greengrass, Longbottom and Goyle, Weasley girl and Zabini, Lovegood and Knott…Granger and Malfoy."
"What?' Ron yelled, 'No way am I working with her".
"No way am I working with Weasel either." Pansy screamed which only earned a glare from Ron.
"I'm never ever ever working with Zabini." Ginny exclaimed.
"Yeah, I'm not working with Weaselette." Blaise exclaimed back.
"Now now. You guys will work together! House unity remember!" Slughorn said and the students went to sit in pairs. Hermione and Malfoy sat together in silence.
"Damn Dumbledore and his house unity." Draco said quietly but loud enough for Hermione to hear.
"Now students, let's get started." Slughorn said. The whole lesson was full of shouts and argues. The class ended and they submitted their potion to Slughorn. They cleaned up and left as soon as possible. Hermione, Harry, Ron, Ginny and Neville met outside the classroom and walked to their next class together.
"I was wrong. Slughorn is the worst professor ever!" Ron said.
"Then I think you owed each of us something." Hermione grinned like crazy.
"Yeah, give it to us." Ginny joined also grinning like crazy.
"Huh? What do I owe you guys?" Ron asked.
"Ten gallons each, mate." Harry smirked.
"Oh no…"
